I travel extensively and I always take two cameras. I have a DSLR which I use with a telephoto lens most of the time. And I want to always have a back-up camera. This Canon PowerShot SX620 fits the bill of what I want a backup camera to do.
The Canon PowerShot SX620 HS is about as close to a PhD (Push here, Dummy) camera that you will find. I did a lot of research on various brands and models of cameras: I didn't need one with outrageous zoom, lots of bells & whistles, movable viewscreen (I won't be recording myself), etc.
1. Fairly easy to use.2. Takes quality photos (took one of the garden that even amazed the wife with its quality).3. Has enough zoom for when you need it.
1. Manual is a bit cumbersome.2. Missing a viewfinder eyepiece.3. No touch screen.4. Difficulties transferring wirelessly.
I bought the camera last month before going on holiday to NW of Spain. It was easy to carry the camera around everywhere, and the picture quality is outstanding.
Camera is okay - was hoping shudder speed was a little faster - very disappointed it did not include the usb chord - seriously? Have to play with it more to get a better feel for it
My first mini size point and shoot. I favor bigger cameras myself and current have G11, SX60HS & 60D. This is a back up for my wife. Easy to operate, has a nice zoom, great video recording.
excelent point & shot lots of features easy to use, well worth it, great zoom for a small camera, professional pictures, for the amateur clicker
Met expectations - takes great photos and is compact.
So far so good, great to make special HD pictures
This is a very capable small camera with a zoom function to cater for almost all situations. The connection to the computer using wi-fi is tricky and in short you need a degree in computer science to do it. That's why I asked someone who did have that.
Got this camera for work. Have only used it once. Pics came out great.
