Avantone pro MP1 Mixphones Headphones (Black)

In a nutshell what you hear in these is exactly what you get in the real world. These cans sound just like my monitoring set up which means I can confidently mix in my headphones without much concern for how it will translate to my speakers or other set ups.

Basically these are the NS10s of headphones. Excellent transient response and brutally honest sound that will make you work hard to achieve a great sound. I wouldn't recommend them for casual listening.

Wow! In a sea of choices for high quality headphones at this price-point, the MP1's are in a class unto their own. They are great cans,well made....solid. Big yet comfortable. They sound so good, as in flat yet very responsive.

These headphones are spot on with sound and clarity I would recommend using these headphones for mixing.

Beautifully conceived and work well for "studio"type use and for audiophile listening.The only reason I gave them a "2" is because one of the "grille cloths" is waded up, but they still work well.

These headphones are one of the best investments I have made in my music production. It is definitely the best investment I have made this year and I have spent A LOT of money this year on some great gear. I was already in the middle of a mix when these arrived.

Fantastic sound in stereo mode. I found the other modes to very useful for mixing. Great product!

I had been using a pair of Sennheiser HD 280 PRO's and I was having issues with the sound in the phones being way different than what I can hear on my stereo, and in my car, not to mention my monitors. I ordered a set of these and The sound is killer!

The jack on the headphone is shorting out. When I try to tighten the jack fastener it just keeps spinning. I'm afraid it's going to break the internal wires. These headphones have very little use, maybe 7 hours. They are like brand new.

Initially, I loved these. They are flat, the stereo field is detailed and the switch between mono and stereo is incredibly useful. My mixes improved significantly. Unfortunately, the detachable cable that goes into the left speaker is horribly designed. It hangs down and rubs on the shoulders.
