In 2020, the iPad Air will continue to position itself between the iPad 8 and the iPad Pro 11 , but it is now looking more to the Pro model. This is not only visible in the new design but also in the optional accessories such as Magic Keyboard and Pencil 2, which can be used with both products.
great design and processing, modern SoC, good battery life, good IPS display, versatile expandability, very good loudspeakers
WLAN is a bit slow, no 5G option, sparse scope of delivery
I’ve been using the new iPad Air (2020) for the past few weeks, throwing everything from writing and emailing to media editing at Apple’s midrange tablet, and I’m struggling to figure out why most people should step up to the iPad Pro.
iPad Pro design but far more affordable, Screen is excellent, Apple A14 Bionic processor is fast and future-proofed, Touch ID is slickly integrated
Cellular and higher storage upgrades are expensive, iPadOS still has some multi-tasking foibles
The fourth-generation iPad Air gives you the power of an iPad Pro for less money, making it the best Apple tablet to buy in 2020.
Super-fast processor and internet speeds, Excellent cameras, Fantastic build quality
Unimpressive battery life, iPadOS still doesn't multitask as well as Mac/Windows
“The iPad Air 4 is the iPad Pro for the masses. It's perfectly situated to offer an exceptional tablet experience, without pushing into the territory of high-end laptop pricing.”
If you’re looking to get an iPad right now and can afford it, the new $599 iPad Air is the best tablet for most people. Apple has taken the design from the more expensive iPad Pro and brought it down to a more reasonable price point.
Excellent screen, Compatible with iPad Pro accessories, Very fast processor
Price increase, Only step-up storage option is a big jump, $749 for 256GB, Touch ID on the power button takes some getting used to
Yes, if you are looking for a versatile, powerful portable computing device. In fact, if you are bored of the laptop and not really tied to that form factor then maybe you should consider that iPad Air which is most probably more powerful than most laptops out there now.
The iPad Air finally has a solid identity with its fourth-generation model—this time as an affordable alternative to the iPad Pro. While you miss out on features like the 120hz ProMotion display, quad speakers, FaceID, Ultra-wide-angle camera, and LIDAR, the 4th-generation iPad Air comes with...
With so few differences between the iPad Air and the Pro, I’m forced to reconsider who the Air is for. Last year it was the perfect just-right tablet: it offered more features than the basic entry-level model, but was still more attainable than the premium Pro line.
The iPad Air (2020) offers a great screen, supremely powerful processor, premium design and great Apple Pencil support… it's simply excellent. It's a shame the price has crept up, but it's still the tablet to beat.
Sleek design in great colours, Detailed screen, So fast and slick, Apple Pencil 2 support, Impressive spatial audio
Mediocre cameras, No 120Hz or OLED screen, Screen only medium brightness, Notable price jump from previous version
The new iPad Air is a great device that is quick, supports the latest Apple Pencil, has USB-C and gives the same functionality as the iPad Pro just at a lower price.
iPad Pro features in a more affordable package, Great looking screen, Slim design with thin bezels, A14 Bionic offers fast performance, Good battery life, USB-C makes it more versatile, Apple Pencil (2nd Gen) works great
Limited storage options (64GB and 256GB), Can get pricey with accessories, No high refresh screen
This is my 3rd iPad and this iPad Air 4 is also the best. It's quick & I love the larger screen on the same size tablet. Apple products just keep on getting better & with excellent quality. Love the new 2nd Gen Pencil and a few good apps that make it shine. Only gripe is the super short charge cord.
Family bought me this iPad for Father's Day. I can not put it down! Brilliant! Love the design. The features are awesome! And man, this bad boy is super fast! Best tablet ever!
I bought this to replace an old iPad 9.7 that I’d had for a few years. My old iPad had started to crash a lot while playing games and was getting slow to load so decided it was time for an upgrade. The battery life is much better. The display is better. Definitely faster.
I got this iPad to use for taking notes for college. Probably the best purchase I've made for college. I use the apple pencil and the palm rejection of the iPad is superb. It feels really nice to write on and it's incredibly useful for having all my notes in one place.
Switched from an Android Tablet. I love it. Haven’t had an Ipad in over 8 years. This thing is so fast and I an looking forward to getting a ton of apps !
the iPad was the same size as the one I have which is 10.2 and it doesn't have an earphone Jack which is what I need so I can watch movies and still charge iPad item looked flimsy
The screen is really nice and big and the picture is clear with great colors. It takes a little getting used to not having a home button on the screen, but once you get used to swiping it is faster and user friendly. Easier to take a screen shot with the corner pinch motion.
Best tablet on the market. I have the 256gb space gray and i love it. It is very light weight and beautifully designed. The screen is sharp and clear. Battery life is also very good. Easy to use with great sounding speakers. Camera is very good.
This iPad is miles ahead of previous generations. It is fast, flexible and just plain has more capability. Highly recommend if you have an older one that is getting a little slow. You will be shocked at how much better this one really is.
