Hello. I have been using the Sony Vegas Pro live recording software for a long time and have not ever tried to make a video project until now. My biggest problem was in finding the right camera to make a video. I was told about the Zoom camera so I bought one.
Ive been trying for several years to get good musical videos on You Tube. Never had anything that satisfied me. Then I got the Zoom q8 with the optional Omnidirectional mic.I finally have videos im not ashamed of. Great video and audio.
Yes. Perfect for what I was looking for. Only draw back is rather zoom button vs in out on screen. Hard to use in sunlight. Really lije volume adjustment for music recording.
This is my second Zoom video recorder, and without a doubt it gets the job done. The built in mics that are exchangeable are a treat to have. The HD quality is excellent and perfect for my use as a professional musician. It's the perfect size and battery life is also great. No complaints so far and I...
I've used a Zoom H4 audio recorder for years (have a couple of them). It's durable, dependable and most importantly is one of the few portable digital recorders that offers XLR inputs for better quality mics. It's that reason I was so excited about the Q8.
Sucks in low light just like the Q4n does. I thought this cam would be better after returning the Q4n but no. The Canon Vixia MiniX has MUCH better video and is way better in low light. The software interface feels clunky. No loop for the rubber lens cap. Again Canon has one built in.
This camera does exactly what we've been told it will do. Very high quality video and standout sound. Being able to run audio directly from my board has been a big plus. During the approximately two months that I've had this camera, it has performed as it was described by the manufacturer.
We are using the Q8 for our webcasting and is 0ne of four cameras. We are also using a Q4 but the Q* has better picture quality and the four by zoom is nice. Good audio control and the addin's for the boom are nice.
This camera gets the job done for what i do which is field recordings and recording musical situations on the fly on the go and when i dont have time to fiddle with settings.
It’s small size makes it easy to move around with it. The sound quality of the videos is great, you can really use the onboard controls to easily get the sound you need. I’m using mine to complete an online music degree at Berklee, and it makes file transfer a simple process.
