I'm not angry, just disappointed
I've been a Yeti guy for years and years but I have to say, this cap has seriously disappointed me. First, I was a little upset that there wasn't a handle option for this particular lid. Second, I bought it just a couple weeks ago and it has already broken. I buy Yeti products because they're rugged and I live a rugged lifestyle. My current "everyday" water bottle has been dropped, thrown and has rolled down cliffs. It has dents and scratches but it and it's original lid are still going strong. This magcap lid broke from a 3 foot fall. Thankfully being the Yeti fan that I am, I have a few replacements in the cupboard. Would not recommend.

Very difficult to unscrew the lid off
I love the idea of this product and I do think the bottle cap aspect is awesome, quick, and easy to use, however, when you screw back on the bottle cap a couple times and tighten it on it also tightens the entire lid tighter and tighter each time and I have found it extremely difficult to remove the whole thing when needing to add more ice, wash it, etc. Unlike the other product that have the rubber ring around it, this is all plastic and is very slick and there is not much to grip onto or use as leverage so when its screwed onto your bottle tightly its nearly impossible to get off. It needs the rubber ring or something to make it easier to screw off.

Excellent strong and durable cap for Rambler
I purchased the MagDock to drink from the bottle more quickly and it has definitely served this purpose. It is both faster to open and easier to close than the regular cap. The weight of the cap is a little heavy but that is due to the quality of the plastics. The clear plastic is excellent quality as I have never seen such good quality put into a reusable bottle before. The clear plastic part is both super clear yet very strong. The gasket in the cap itself is there and it doesn't fall out easily as some other people have stated. I do keep an eye on it though. Also there was a slight smell when the MagDock was new but after having used it a bit there is no longer any odor.

I love the magnetic cap... And the idea enough that I bought another. The reason, though, I had to buy another is the inside of the area around and above the gasket became pitted and the plastic around the gasket disintegrated enough that it separated/broke off the bottom. So, on the new one I purchased I noted it said on the package not to be used with hot drinks which confused me... I thought Yeti's main goal was to keep drinks hot or cold for hours. But, looking on the description here it says nothing about hot drinks, only don't use with carbonated drinks. Anyway, I like the lid so I bought another and will continue to use it with my morning coffee.

Great but smelly
We have two of these caps and love using them, but there are two gaskets that have to be removed each time you clean the lid. Unfortunately, no matter how we clean them the gaskets continue to smell, and one of the bottles is only ever used for water. I am going to try to soak in vinegar for a while tonight and if that doesn't work we'll have to find a different options.
If it weren't for the smell, the cap is really nice. Magnet is very useful to keep the cap close by. And it pours really nicely. One of the caps we actually use to keep baby milk in so it's easier to pour in bottles and stays cold for long times. But that cap is actually not as smelly as the one we use for water.

Great but kinda stinky.
I love, love this lid! It's really easy to drink from and liquid doesn't spill out around my mouth. I personally found it was easy to to screw on/off and was pleased since I have grip issues.
Why the 4 stars? I'd have given it 5 stars except for the gasket. It STINKS. It has an extraordinarily strong chemical odor. I've washed the gasket and lid several times, but the odor still lingers! It legit interferes with my enjoyment of the beverage. Luckily the odor doesn't transfer to the part you drink from and affect the flavor of the beverage

Love the functionality, can't bear the odor
I thought this was the coolest idea and bought one for my rambler for easy drinking when I travel. Almost immediately I noticed a strong chemical odor and tried cleaning it daily, soaking it in dish detergent solutions, and cleaning it with Barkeeper's Friend as Yeti suggested to me. I couldn't get rid of the odor and Yeti was good enough to send me a replacement cap. Unfortunately the replacement cap does it as well and I have had to stop using the Magdock altogether and pretty bummed I lost my money on this one. Might try the chug cap as an alternative.

Strong chemical smell
I was really excited about this lid with the magnetic cap but the gasket has a horribly strong smell and makes the water taste bad. Feel a little scared about the chemicals I ingested from it if the smell is that potent. Tried soaking it in vinegar and even let it off-gas outside in the sun and it only seemed to have angered the smell. Removing the gasket is not a great solution as the cap then leaks. A problematic product is understandable but continuing to sell this product after all the bad reviews targeting this exact issue is very frustrating.
