Great drinking vessel, but...
This is a great drinking vessel and looks really nice. Fit and finish is outstanding. It seals tight and keeps the coffee hot for hours.
However, and I know it sounds odd, but it's hard to drink from. The lip of the lid is so thick and the opening so wide that you have to tilt the mug up pretty high to get the liquid to flow. When it does, since the opening is so wide, sometimes you miss your mouth (particularly while driving). Could be okay for cold beverages you want to chug, but not so much for hot ones that you sip. Maybe a lid redesign that provides a smaller opening for more of a "sipping' opportunity instead of the "chugging" debacle.

The 30oz Yeti needs a finger strap.
I've had my Yeti about 3 months and I love it. I've purchased 3 more since then. The only problem I have with the 30oz is the weight and I bet other women have the same problem. Don't tell me to get a smaller one, it doesn't hold enough. How about designing one with a strap that 4 fingers would fit in. It would be a big help for ladies with small hands. I've come close to dropping mine a couple of times. I know they are expensive but I would gladly pay more for a large one that was easier to hold. I'm sure no one at the company reads these but I just wanted to get my idea out there. Again, I tell everyone how much I love my big Yeti.

I never thought I'd write a review about a mug, but for the $ this costs, I'm pretty disappointed with it. It's hard to explain unless you have one of these- but it's hard to take a big sip out of it- the liquid comes out very slowly and you only get a little bit. If I were to take a bigger sip, I know that a ton would come out and spill all over me. Almost as if there's something wrong w/ the pressure or something. I'm 35 and know how to drink out of a cup, so I don't know what the issue is with this. The liquid doesn't flow out nicely. I put coffee in it, and the warmth retention is just okay. I would never buy one of these again.

Hey bought the cup a couple of weeks ago and as the cup goes it really works well at keeping beverages hot or cold. One suggestion for improvement. We have a very active lifestyle in the outdoors. I lost my lid a couple of times off of the cup while running ATV's and mud buggies through Holopaw recreational area. I lost it for good on my last trip down the trail at the end of the day yday, so now I'm the proud holder of an expensive stainless steel drinking glass. The cup needs a screw on top and a flip closure for the drinking hole would be another great improvement. Good product but not excellent yet. Here's hoping to see the new improved version soon.

Great, even amazing, should offer different lids
My wife got one of these from work (they distribute Yeti products). I have never seen a cup keep things cold as well as this. It is simply amazing. We consistently have 115+ days in the summer, and this is the only cup I've seen that will actually keep ice frozen all afternoon long. My only criticism would be the lid doesn't have a way to completely seal it. Not a big deal, as it doesn't compromise the cooling, evidently, but it would be nice to have a completely no-spill cup. I thought initially it was way too expensive, but seeing is believing, and I've yet to see anything else keep things as cold as this does.

AWESOME!
This is the BEST ever! I fill it plum full of ice in the morning, and I still have plenty of ice at bed time. All I do is add my choice of drink through the day...and never have to add ice. And yes that was in the Summer heat. I just tried it out with hot chocolate, it was still SO HOT after 4 hours I still couldn't drink it. So I did pour it out cause it just wouldn't cool down enough for me to drink! Now that's good folks!
I see some post from others that theirs don't keep ice longer than 4 hours. I just don't know how that can be. I have always be a Tervis gal...Not no more! I love my Yeti Ice chest, and love my tumbler!

Love it except for the sweating issue.
I was dying for one of these but all the store around me was always sold out. So when I finally got my hands on one I was ecstatic. I have had it for 3 months now and I am loving it except for one issue. They claim it doesn't sweat but it does and pretty bad. I wipe it at least 5 times in a 8 hour work period. I'm wondering if mine is defective and what I need to do to get a replacement. Other than that it is great. I filled mine with ice and tea at 5:45am, came home from work and put it by the sink with ice and tea still in it. I forgot to wash it and the next morning at 5:45 it still had ice in it. 24 hours is pretty cool.

Love my Yeti cup!
My husband bought me the 20 ounce Yeti cup for my birthday in September. I use it all day long, every day. I start with coffee, switch to ice water, and have even added chilled wine a time or two. I just love having hot coffee until it's gone, and ice water even after my cup sits in a hot car for hours. The only thing that I can complain about it the lid. I can't count the number of times I have spilled my coffee while walking into work because the coffee just sloshes right out. It would be nice to have a different lid for coffee, or even just a lid where we can either snap or slide a cover over the hole for transportation.
