The Yamaha YAS-106 raises the bar for sound quality at ultrabudget prices.

The Yamaha offers a wide-open sound that is great for movies and surprisingly good with music. The connectivity is up there with some of the best sound bars, regardless of price.

The YAS-106 doesn't include a subwoofer. Even better sound can be had for an extra $100 or so.
It's the best I have had, but I would not say it's great. For one thing, on many programs it just won't turn up high enough for me--and I'm not deaf or nearly so. It also just quits working and must be turned off, then back on.
We are very impressed with this sound bar! We did a lot of research on sound bars before purchasing this. We decided to go for this one after hearing a demo in one of our local stores, the built-in subwoofers are fantastic and overall this soundbar has fantastic sound quality and bass, and has a...
Oh man, I didn't understand the hoopla about soundbars until I connected this to our bedroom 55" led tv. For normal everyday tv watching this has great surround and highs & bass. I still have my 7:1 home theather system hooked up, but don't use it nearly as much simce I got the soundbar.
The sound on this is pretty decent. I like the built in subwoofers on the side. I live in a condo so the walls are not the thickest, but I can crank this up and my neighbors don't complain (They did with my other system. Oops.)
I got these speakers for my dad for Father's Day. I would have gotten him some more fancy ones but he would throw a fit about it. Honestly, I think that my high-end Bose speakers aren't that much better for the price I paid. This is a great budget option.
I bought this unit October 2017 for my television which is pole mounted from the ceiling. All the wires (ethernet, power ect) are routed inside the pole up into the ceiling so I don't have any wires showing. Satelite box is mounted behind my tv.
For the price, it is a good buy. Works nicely with all of my devices. The bass is not that great but it would be expected for such small size.
Good soundbar. Only issue is the supplied remote does not provide access to all the setting.
After a few days, the volume bar on TV disappeared.
I think everyone should get a sound bar for their TVs! It absolutely makes a difference in the quality of the audio experience.
