A pleasingly entertaining, albeit scarcely featured, performer

Big, enveloping presentation, Fast and articulate sound, Particularly expressive with voices, Dead easy to set up and use

Rivals are more fruitfully featured, Lacks a little authority and solidity
I am very pleased with the sound from this. I wanted this for the 4K offering and am not disappointed. I am however not pleased with the speaker hookups, half have the banana clip option the other half do not I don't understand this and had to remove the banana clips from half my surround sound...

Cannot Get Screen Display, Speaker Hookups, Sub Woofer
My apartment took a direct lightning strike that fried all of my electronic devices. I bought this unit to replace an earlier model of a Yamaha A/V receiver that it central to my home theater system.
Good entry-level av receiver. This unit replaced a 5 year old Onkyo 7.1 channel receiver that had a lot more features. But for movies and tv which is nearly 100% of my usage the extra features were unused.

The sound is good just not the power they claim.

The Yamaha unit never worked from the get go. The first problem was that the set-up function to get a balance of sound did not work. The unit claimed the speakers were not hooked up, but of course once you test all the speakers sound does work.
