My husband bought this for his garage. It works great, radio stations come in crystal clear, it's easy to connect to bluetooth, and it comes with a remote. All you need are some speakers and you're ready go!
The Yamaha R-S300 is a very old school but a very good performing receiver. By "old school", I mean that more functions can be done at the receiver instead of via the remote. Examples? 1) You cannot scan for radio stations with the remote. That has to be done at the receiver.
My 47 year old Heathkit AR-29 stereo receiver finally crapped out. I wanted to replace it with a similar 2 channel stereo receiver without any unnecessary frills such as bluetooth or network receiving capability - just a simple 2 channel stereo system so I chose the Yamaha R-S300 BL as it has good...
Not fancy, simple amp, works great, no issues
Excellent !! for the price, the quality sound is incredible. I am very happy about this stereo receiver. With my bose 701, the match is perfect. Thank you Yamaha !!
If you're looking for a simple medium power stereo with high quality sound, this would make a great choice. The distortion specifications are up there with much more expensive receivers.
I already had a Dolby stereo receiver in my living room, but I did not need all those 'extras' for a receiver in my bedroom. This filled the bill very nicely. I love the variable loudness control, which almost acts like an equalizer for less-than-perfect recordings, or whenever you need to turn down...
Great Garage set up. Will need to take inside for winter.
Love this audio receiver from Yamaha. It meets every single need I needed....Yamaha is a quality brand that is second to none!
I purchased the unit advertised as "Used" with minor imperfections, original packaging. Received the unit and unpacked it and the only indication that it may have been used was the fact that the batteries were already loaded into the remote. All documentation, padding and etc. were as new.
