The multi-channel output of the Yamaha NS-P40 is excellent. It delivers clean sound, does not sound bright, has good pace and every satellite works in a perfect cohesive manner to deliver a breathtaking 5.1 soundstage.
Not an audiophile, but I do enjoy a quality sound set up. These speakers sound great and have worked perfectly for me. Paired them with the Yamaha V679 receiver. Only complaint is the sub does not have a low pass/frequency adjustment. Works great though
These speakers sound amazing! The first thing my wife compared our living room to was a movie theater (authentically). We were both surprised by the great quality of sound.
the metal part to which the screw srews into for the wall mount came off. I had to improvise to reattach. otherwise ok. Open box....it was expected.
Good sound for small speakers. The subwoofer is grade A . When I first installed the speakers they did sound shallow, but after a couple of days they emit a richer quality. The area they cover is around 400 sq ft and they do a grade B job of it.
Bought these to go with a Sony 5.2 receiver. Despite its size, the sub puts out some serious bass in my 15x12 foot living room. The satellite speakers are nice, too. Relatively small, but good clear mids and highs.
The speakers blew the first day I had them sub doesn't sound very good either would not recommend
Really impressed by the sound quality. Well worth the price.
Easy hook up great sound
Ok for the money they are quite good. I didn't want to spend too much on a surround sound ststem so I bought an average Yamaha second hand digital home theatre, and these speakers. They are goodish, relatively cheap speakers. But they are not amazing. My wife thinks they sound great.
As others have complained about distortion with this system, I too am not happy with it's performance. Not because it's a poor system, because YAMAHA allowed the poor design of the subwoofer to hinder the whole systems potential. Very disappointed in the QA on this design. Don't get me wrong.
