I had a simple 2.1 setup for a TV in a medium sized room that as good as the speakers are the vocals sometimes came through in a less then clear fashion. After reading all the reviews I decided to try this Yamaha Center channel. It performs as promised, has a small foot print with a big sound.
I bought this Yamaha NS-C210BL for the size and quality of sound. A lot of center channel speakers are SO big yet don't sound great. Being that most of the sound from tv and movies come from the center channel, I wanted something that really put out the sound and didn't distort as the volume grew.
Use with Yamaha HTR-4065 surround receiver with BA woofer and other brand speakers.
It is small.
The unremovable cloth screen on the front is disappointing. Also, it is held in place by a large plastic grid under it.
Attractive Design, Easy To Set Up
For the size (small) it sounds much better than the larger one I previously had as a center speaker. Surprising clarity as well.
does what its supposed to
This unit is smaller than I expected, but sounds great. It's definitely made the dialog more clear and it fits perfectly in the space available. If other Yamaha products I own are any indication (other than the motorcycle, but that's another story) this one should last a long time.
When we originally set up our sound system, we decided to use our Sony 's speaker as a center speaker. We were not happy with the sound. We purchased the Yamaha as center speaker to work with two Bose left and right speakers in the living room. It proves to be a very effective solution.
Excellent value and sound. Handles my Harmon Kardon amp easily and sounds great
This is a great little speaker. I say little because it was quite a bit smaller than I expected, but the sound is big. I replaced a center channel speaker that was much bigger than this one (twice the size), but this speaker is much more clear than the other.
This speaker works great. I use the Yamaha RX-V379BL AV for my media center. The AV sounded great, but when I added the center speaker it made a world of difference. The center speaker focuses on the vocals, so the soundtrack and background noises don't drown out the dialog.
