The first one could not access some stations, so they sent another one, So far this one is good , no problems, I like the functions. Just wish it had HDMI output. That would be great. That's the only con, but the unit sounds great, very clear. With a THD of .04 it will sound great.
Sounds really good. output for sub, other inputs and outputs. Nice appearance.
No HDMI output, little pricey but hey...
If you don't need multi-channel movie sound the R-N602 blends a host of input sources along with straightforward operation and great sound. It supports WiFi, bluetooth, USB, as well as conventional phono, line and optical inputs.
I had an older Yamaha receiver and replaced it with this one. I wanted to be able to use Bluetooth and wi-fi to play music. I also wanted built-in internet radio. I could have done all this by adding various components and adapters onto my old Yamaha receiver.
I bought this receiver to replace an older Yamaha stereo receiver. The biggest difference between the old receiver and the new one is the internet connectivity. Things like internet radio (via. the V-tuner program) and Pandora are built in.
built-in internet radio, Many inputs, Sounds good
Takes a while to set-up
Yamaha did the right thing with this 2 channel receiver, has all the bells and whistles you can think of, and is loaded with power, drives my Q700 with great sound, love it!
I use this amp in a large space so the output can reach high volumes. The amp cannot handle the load and shuts off. When turning it back on it has a "check speaker wires" msg. I replaced all 200 feet of wire with 12ga and added a fan to cool it. That helped but did not cure the issue.
This receiver is everything I need and it has nothing that I don't need. It is not "audiophile" quality but neither foes it have an "audiophile" price. The four star rating has more to do with the somewhat awkward MusicCast app that is required to set everything up.
Great valueBetter than average specs.Clean design
The MusicCast app needs some help
This unit replaced a 24 year old Denon DRA-835R, which is now in another room. The Denon worked fine but lacked modern features. The new Yamaha is terrific at network-source playback of every sort. It has a superb amplifier stage, far better quality than most other stereo receivers these days.
Great Amplifier Deck, Super Versatile, Well Thought Out
Remote Control Sub-par, Web Interface 'thin', Wired Ethernet Bug
Most offerings are for 5-7 theatre rooms but if you want just a good stereo system this a good choice. Easy to set up internet radio/SXM. Opens up new channels of listening for better sounds than just a phone or computer speakers
Very satisfied with this product. Great sound, good power, nice input options
