Previously I bout a MSP3 for my short wave radio. I bought a pare of MSP3's for my computer. I'm using a Schiit DAC and amp feeding the MSP3's. I couldn't be more pleased. My computer room is a spare bedroom, think 9' x 12'. The MSP3's fill the room with sound without pushing them hard.
I purchased this monitor to use with a Yamaha Disklavier piano. The monitor turned out to be the perfect choice for the application. Extremely pleased with he purchase.
I wanted a wall mountable mid range studio monitor with strong tweeters to accompany a subwoofer. I don't like the ones that have an exposed speaker cone with no grill or protection.
Liking these a lot. They are not home theater speakers. The seem very accurate for a small speaker. Couldn't put larger ones on my desk.
While I plan on upgrading to a more expensive set of speakers in the future, the MSP3 has worked great as I'm putting together my home editing studio. These were recommended to me by a friend who is an audio engineer based off of the West Coast.
I should have read the reviews more closely before purchasing this. This is for one speaker. The title is misleading. One speaker does not qualify as a "system". The title needs to state that the purchase is for one speaker only. Not a system.
Great stereo imaging. Solid construction. Decent low end for its size.
These are great for high-end multimedia speakers, but I like my MSP-5's even better, they have more bass and fuller sound than this pair. Still a nice set of speakers, especially for computer use where the signal is not amplified.
I bought these based on other reviews and will shortly use with a digital 24 track recorder. That said, I am currently using with an iMac computer, and I can say that with a little equalization, they rock just fine with downloads from iTunes or using Pandora radio.
Good sound with sufficient control to tune to taste. Small enough to fit on desk beside computer. I wish the power switch was on the front though.
