It might look like a simple analogue desk, but beneath the MGP16X's familiar exterior lies some extensive digital processing.
I am an amateur player. Spent lots of time trying to learn about mixers and the more I read the more confusing it was. Finally decided to go for the Yamaha MGP 16x because of the one knob compressors in each input channel and the iphone interphase.
I used to have mgp-12x, and now I have been using MGP-16x for more channel. Every function and mixer features ( SPX and FX ) are working perfectly.
Very good mixer. Effects are first class. Good price.
Sliders feel a little rough, but hopefully they will loosen after some use. Love the layout and the USB interface.

I've worked with a lot of professional mixers and thought I knew what to expect when I put the headphones on with this one. I was wrong. The pre-amps on this are astonishingly good, delivering a detailed, sharp, rich sound especially in the highs that I just haven't ever heard in a mixer before.
