I replaced my Yamaha RX-V1070 with a new Yamaha RX-A1070 coincidentally exactly 7 years on to the day! My main check points were 4K with Dolby Vision support as I am using an Apple TV 4K with Netflix 4K into an LG 55" OLED 4K TV.
Initially hard choosing an AVR but the Yamaha A series came highly recommended. The guys at Glasgow RS set up the system as i wanted and I tested with a Dali speaker setup. This was easily the best sounding AVR for me. Great sound, good looking and tons of additional features.
Surround sound is awesome but music...WOW!Even my wife said that her music has never sounded better.
Bought to replace an Avantage 1040 which, although only 3 years old, would not support hdmi2.2 to allow sky q to operate in uhd.Sitting in its place where the 1040 was, it looks exactly the same, sounds the same and has almost the same features.
Made my existing kef speakers sound so much better! Use the smart phone app for the controller to get full functionality. No need to use the supplied controller.
Excellent Yamaha receiver looks good and would recommend it.
.I bought the RX-A1070 as an upgrade for my RX-A830, wanting to upgrade to a 4K amp with additional network connectivity, I have not been disappointed. But the main reason I chose this amp, was because of the sound when playing either, vinyl though the phono section, or streaming through the Airplay...
I bought this product together with the Audio Monitor Bronze speakers as an upgrade to my existing home cinema system. Very great product, solid build quality and be able to deliver great sound quality.
I bought the Yamaha RXA1070 recently and i must say that it is a very good sounding amp and also very easy to set up this being the main reason i chose this particular amp
Bought this 3 weeks ago, solid built, tried 4K movies wow, excellent with virgin media v6 TiVo and my Ps 4.A great partner for my B&W m1 speakers and PV2D sub woofer.
