Whynter FM85G 29 Inch Grey Freestanding Chest Freezer

Got this ac/dc freezer for our yacht. Put it in the travel case. 1 year later I'm trying to save the lid as it is starting to rust. Now, i need a new lid as it has all rusted out on the outside corners and on the lid. Too Bad...

This thing kicks ass. Bought it for my sailboat as a drink cooler ( tired of everyone opening the fridge on the boat). Keeps everything good and cold on hot tropical days sailing. Have used it to keep my frozen foods frozen when the boats cooler went out. And does not soak up all the power.

This is our second freezer, after mistakenly selling the first one after two years of use thinking we found a better option. We quickly purchased our current unit in 2014 and have used daily since. We travel full-time in our RV and this freezer has been to 48 states and 5 Canadian provinces.

Great Refridgerator, puts the Igloo/Coleman coolers to shame. Only downside was I planned on mounting it in my truck like a refrigerator instead of an ice chest, but it will not/ manufacturer does not recommend it be stood up. Had to take out the passenger seat to make room for it.

Bought 3.5 years ago and use in very challenging salt water sailing. I have had this unit all over the North Atlantic and still running strong. only problem has been the front cooling fan which was a std 5 volt magnetic fan. works great on 120 volts ac and 12 volts dc.

We purchased this refrigerator for our hot dog stand. What a great product!! We are already thinking about purchasing a second one to use as a freezer. This little refridgerator holds a lot of food. We were able to hold enough product for two days at a local carnival/fair.

I bought this freezer in 2014 to use on board a commercial fishing vessel operating out of Nome, AK. The until was on the upper deck, under a cover but outside, year around for 4 years. I know these are not the recommended working conditions, but the freezer worked great! It never let us down.

Very adequate - has been in continuous use for over a year. Can be used as a freezor OR a refrigerator (not both at the same time). Temperature is selectable within 1 degree F, seems to hold temp within two degrees. Recommend not leaving it in direct sunlight.

Freezer is well made, better than I thought. Freezes well and holds temp. Will use it to sell frozen lemonade in near future. Think it will do great.

I have had mine for several years - can't remember exactly, prolly 4-5. It's hooked up to 110 and sits in my shed at 27F. Rated at 5 stars for reliability. I did have a problem when I bought it concerning the amperage draw.
