This unit is fantastic. I had one when I owned a motorhome and used it for a freezer most of the time. Now I have a home theater and use it for beer and sodas and it keeps them as cold as they can be without freezing. You can also use it as a small freezer if you so desire.
I did a lot of research prior to buying this freezer to keep my dog's food frozen. I wanted the ability to use it on 12 volts when traveling as well as 110 volts at home. Well made and cools great. My only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that it is a little loud when the compressor is running.
My Whynter 65qt dual voltage fridge has been rock solid. I use it as my drinks fridge in the hot garage when home and hosting parties. But it also serves as my 12 volt powered overlanding fridge on countless offroad trips. It's been to Mexico and all over the Western half of the United States.
We purchased this fridge/freezer for a camping trip. We got tired of purchasing bags of ice to keep our food cold and to avoid cross contamination with the ice. We were very pleased with fridge/freezer. It keep the food frozen then I used the fridge and it kept the food cold.
I love this portable cooler. It works very well. Recommend you use a battery power station rather than your vehicle power when the engine is not running. We used it for an entire week camping in the Colorado mountains, and we loved it's quality. We kept frozen items most of the time.
I have used this in conjunction with my solar power system for over three weeks. I have it set for 35°f and has maintained it the whole time. It is doing a fantastic job with very little draw on the power system. Using it in a Sprinter van.
Owned this for 3 months. I use it in my campervan and is mainly powered by solar. Uses very little power and keeps everything nice and cold. It's a bit bigger than I thought it would be but works great. Plenty a room for my camping/traveling trips.
Bought this for a family of four to camp out of for two weeks. Used it in conjunction with two 100 watt solar panels and two 45 amp hour deep cycle batteries. Overall, it worked really well.
I bought the FM 65G version. I found it double-boxed to minimize the risk of damage during shipment. One thing I disliked about a Dometic refrigerator I previously bought was their use of two openended boxes with the top box draped over the bottom box.
I am a truck driver, this is perfect to keep plenty of food on my truck at all times. Saves me so much money as opposed to eating out all the time. Definitely recommend.
