I have to start it while it's still cool in the room to keep the peak temp in the room under 80 during the day. The unit just can't keep up otherwise. I'd get a more powerful unit for 400 sq ft.

  Blows cold air and a fair amount of condensation makes it out the exhaust tube.

  The unit is quite noisy. Perhaps my biggest gripe is how often it overfills with condensation. On dry days you can leave it going and not worry about it. Humid days will result in it needing to be emptied every hour.

So glad this was the unit I chose. So easy to use and pretty quiet and effective for my one bedroom condo. Many nights I just used the fan to circulate air. Highly reccomend.

12,000 BTU's doesn't seem accurate. I live in AZ. Right now it's actually in the mid-80's outside and this thing is struggling to keep my room at 74 and it's a little less than 150 Sq ft. That seems weak to me. This bad boy was not cheap and it's been running for about 4 and a half hours.

  Great water recycle feature. Isn't Ugly.

  Air that comes out is only around 60 degree's. Exhaust tube gets very hot. (I know it should, but I feel like this really hurts the cooling process.) Poorly place air intake.

Purchased July 2017 Fine product, needs a fairly small space for effective cooling. The fan makes considerable noise just a year after I bought it. Contacting support, will update based on response...

If you have a way to hook a hose to this that you can put into a drain or through an external wall it will be great. However, if you need to rely on the little condensation pan..well good luck.

  For an upright unit it is terrific as far as cooling! Cools the room quickly and rather efficiently. Great product if you can set it up for continuous drainage.

  There is not an internal condensation bucket or bin like most uprights. There is a small hose to run to a drain or then include a little pan to sit on the ground. There is not an overflow alert or anything of the such for this condensation bucket like on other units that I have purchased for my...

Used in my tent trailer in 90-100 degree temperatures. Had a little trouble keeping up from noon 'til about 6 p.m. but provided very comfortable night sleeping tempertaures...at 65-68 degrees.

Works great in my third/top floor, west facing condo. I get all the afternoon sun and it gets HOT. Weather in the 90's and this unit keeps the room comfortable (not cold, but comfortable.) I do use blackout curtains to help keep the sun/heat out. No leaking/exhaust.

worth all the cons. read directions, exhaust as close to window as possible - with no kinks.

I have tall cielings in my bedroom. It’s a difficult room to cool down. Our previous unit blew cold air upwards and did not cool down the room at all. This unit blows cool air directly at us and keeps us nice and cool. We love it!

If it was as light as I imagined it would have been a 5 star rating. still good though.

  Not bad at all. Looks great and has very superior cooling output.The heater is a real bonus when the weather cools down.
