Strictly speaking, the Whirlpool Cabrio WTW8500DC is a fine top-loading washing machine, even though it doesn't improve on the stain removal performance of its predecessors. Works well, very quiet, no problems with the drum coming out of balance. Good variety of cleaning cycles.

Cleans well., Handles a large load of laundry., Quiet
Do not buy this Washer. It tilts the clothes to one side & causes the clothes to finish the cycle soaking wet! & the only way to get the water out is to start the whole cycle over again, you can't just start from the rinse/drain cycle.
After receiving the washer and dryer we attempted to wash a child's comforter from a full-size bed in the washer. The first problem is that with just one comforter it absorbs the small amount of water that is dispensed.
