Fridge Freezing Food
Bought July 2017 and in Dec. 2018 the fridge starting freezing food. Per my tech this is happening to other fridges but Whirlpool has not published a bulletin on how to fix the issue. My tech replaced the refrigerator diffuse & thermistor sensor. This fixed the fridge from freezing but then the freezer will no longer freeze ice cream & popsicles. Buying a new fridge this weekend as I've already spent over a 1/3 of what the frig cost on repairs. This fridge has been around for decades and use to be very reliable. Since it is trial & error to determine the repair, it is costly and I would not recommend purchasing model WRT519SZDM.

The overall capacity and looks are great
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our previous Kenmore ref. was 23 yrs old be for it died. It ran so quiet always. This new whirlpool whines,moans and carries on something terrible. When we have company it is embarrassing how loud it is. When they hear it they say (it sounds like your ref. is going out) and we tell them,no it's brand new and they want to know what brand it is and where we bought it. We have never been so disappointed with anything we have ever purchased in our lives and are embarrass to even have it in our home. In this day and age of modern technology NO ref. should make noise and carry on like this one does. We are very unhappy and disappointed with it.

100% verified - Piece of Crap
Fridge does its job, keep stuff cold and prolong life of perishable good but it is a poorly designed/low quality fridge.
Why this is piece of crap?
1) Day 0 - After the night of delivery and install i go to open the fridge the sealing gasket starts to peel/fall off. Called & service guy comes out to glue to the gasket in place.
2) day 60+ into ownership - gasket falls off again, applied own glue to keep sealing gasket in place
3) day 367 - gasket falls off again, annoyed the crap out of me to call service again and warranty timed out. Also fridge started making metallic noise when compressor in the back is turned on.

Skip this refrigerator
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had to purchase a refrigerator. Needed this size quickly. Should have waited. Some things in the back freeze and items in the front don't seem cold enough. Freezer door storage area a joke. Things drop threw all the time. I haven't really figured out what that door storage area was designed for, super large cans of something that you freeze? Installation horrible or design I don't know, freezer door on crooked, looks horrible. Kept this since last fridge went out before thanksgiving, but will get rid of this asap. Never buy again.

Now I have problems and contact for the support to fix the Frig. I think they deliver the Lemon Product. when I call for support and lost receipt. Now they try to charge me for coming out to take a look at the Frig. I cannot believed it. What kind support is it? Now I will not buy anymore Whirlpool products. Be careful to buy the appliances from Whirlpool, we do not know how the customer service is until we have the problems with the products.!!!

Some features could be better.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Because of the way my 1950's kitchen is designed I needed this size size to fill a limited space. The new Whirlpool fits perfectly as a replacement for my 22 year old one. I see only three things that would have caused me to make a different choice. The most obvious is that it has no freezer light. I now keep a headlamp next to the refrigerator to find things hidden in the back. 2nd: I find the push button 4 light temperature adjustment less useful than the 2 sliders in my old one. 3rd: the various plastic storage bins are a thin plastic that looks less durable than the bins in my previous one.

A Terrible product.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really hate this refrigerator. Because of space restrictions, we had to go with what we thought was the best 30-inch option. This refrigerator is cheap, cheap, cheap. The plastic is super thin and feels like it could break easily, the design is terrible - no thought to how people might actually use a fridge. It feels like the kind of refrigerator you'd find in a vacation rental or Air B&B - fine for a week, but to use daily in real life? It's terrible. And after replacing a GE that lasted almost 25 years, I feel like I'll be replacing this after, maybe, 5 years. Did I mention how cheaply made it is?

loud noise
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this about a month ago. At first it made a very loud noise. I got on the Whirlpool web site under the help area. I was surprised that they wanted money to speak to me about my problem. This was a brand new refrigerator. I was not happy. My husband took off the back cardboard and found that the coil was vibrating against it and there was an indent in the backing where it was against. He put a small sticky foot pad onto that spot and now we don't have the loud noise anymore. He made sure not to try to bend the coil wire. Maybe he could get a job with Whirlpool service. I hope this helps someone else. Works Great Now!
