Horrible product.
Horribly unreliable. It's less than 2 years old and already failing. Coolness setting on recommended. Main refrigerator compartment remains warm, while freezer deep freezes everything to sold bricks. Just such a waste of money. Plus, the shelving inside is pure insanity. With all shelves installed, there's no logic and no room for anything larger than a condiment bottle. The multiple, skinny drawers are impossible to grab. This is just such bad design. Clearly, the team that put their mark on this boat anchor were unqualified and didn't care about quality. Whirlpool failed miserably in allowing this to be manufactured.

Leaks water into fridge
Like for a lot of other people, I started having problems with this fridge shortly after the one year warranty ran out.
It began to leak water into the fridge and I was told by an appliance repairman that it happened due to the defrost drain being clogged and if it happened again to turn the fridge off and let it completely defrost.
It began to happen with increasing frequency until now, two and a half years into owning it, where I am forced to defrost it every month and lose food in the process.
Complete garbage appliance that appears to have no fix due to its faulty design. Don’t bother wasting your money.

Worst Refrigerator I’ve owned!
I purchased this fridge a little over a year ago, it has given me problems since day one. The freezer control knob broke on the first day. Since then about every two month I would have to completely de-ice the condenser coils in the freezer, what a pain! Lost two fridges loads of food while owning this fridge. If that wasn’t bad enough the fridge has now started to make a humming noise at the back and will not cycle on anymore. I would not recommend this fridge to anyone! Stay away!

Nice fridge but has issues
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Brand new fridge not even a year old and filling up with water on the inside. Pretty ridiculous. I use this as a second fridge so it has about 6-10 small items in it and the freezer has even less so this shouldn’t be happening. I had to schedule a repair and they said only half of the heater is working to defrost. I expect that from a fridge that’s years old. Not a brand new one just manufactured. Ridiculous. Not to mention I am pregnant so it’s more hassle I didn’t want to deal with.

Disappointing interior design
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After 35 years, I bought a new Whirlpool refrigerator. I am happy with the smaller size and more efficient (I hope) motor but the interior design was an unpleasant surprise. I am disappointed.The large fruit and vegetable drawer at the bottom has no runners on which to slide in and out. It just sits on the bottom of the fridge. There was another smaller unnecessary veg drawer, just taking up room which I removed. They was a labeled "meat" drawer but no place to put it. I called three times, and held for more than an hour to get delivery clarifications. Finally hung up.

Adorable Refrigerator, Leaks Water
We were so excited to get our little refrigerator. It seemed like the solution for our upstairs kitchen. We have gotten so many compliments on it. It was out of warranty on December 2022 and now it leaks all the time creating water puddles in on the glass. We don't know what we can do but it hardly seems fair that it is not very old and just because we chose to not buy the service agreement. We can't afford to invest in another. If it would work, I would give 5 stars because it is really spacious for a little refrigerator.

Do not buy
I bought this fridge because it would fit in the space available in my mother’s suite in our house. Although you’re not paying a very high price, for the price it is still a piece of junk. Within not even a year, ice began to build up in the freezer and cause water leaks into the fridge. Then the fridge just stopped being cold altogether. I have the extended warranty and certainly hope that Whirlpool will take care of these issues. However, I would still never recommend purchasing this product.

WRT112CZJZ gets warm in fridge & subzero freezer
we have had the Whirlpool WRT112CZJZ for about 2-3 years (?)
since day one it has been a constant battle to keep the fridge cool rarely gets under 35 and is usually in the 39-45 range which is too warm for food safety. Often we find the fridge at 60 deg and the freezer is sub cold. I empty the freezer and let it (the ice) thaw over night. this fix may last a week maybe a month. it has gotten intollerable and we're probably going to PITCH IT. YES, we put very little in the freezer to make sure the vents do not get blocked but this does not seem to help.
** Are the cold air vents on this unit gravity feed to the fridge from the freezer? OR is it fan driven? if fan driven that might be our problem as i have never heard a fan run.
****any other fixes? i've been tempted to drill extra holes in the freezer floor to allow more cold air to the fridge (its junk so why not)?
