Usually whirlpool/kitchen aid are my go to-
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have several whirlpool & kitchen aid products- and truly haven’t had issues over multiple properties & years. So I really feel this is an outlier. This unit and the other unit I recvd as replacement ( only 5 serial numbers apart). Immediately had compressor issues. The ceiling of the refrigerator developed heavy condensation that proceeded to dip down shelves and form ice icicles- regardless of setting. Again both the first unit and the replacement had the exact same issue- being a had size restrictions I had to go with the freezer on the top model
Needless to say 3rd time I switched to a different brand

Basic Product
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this a month or so ago as our fridge of 20 years quit. It’s a basic fridge that cools food. One of the door corners seems shoddy. The stainless steel doesn’t meet on the corner. See photo below. The door does not seem to have as much suction when closing as my old fridge. There have been several times when the door doesn’t close completely. It is also much louder than I am used to. Several times, I’ve looked to see if the microwave is running only to realize it’s the fridge. I probably wouldn’t buy again but needed something immediately that fit the space that I had. This will be the “garage fridge” at some point.

Very disappointed.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It was delivered a week ago. I immediately noticed a high pitched sound (that could be heard throughout the house) when it is running, which is almost all the time. The inside gasket on the door is loose. On factory setting it cannot get the refrigerator temp below 42 and the freezer below 10 degrees. The store where I bought it sent two reps out to look at it and they set the temps up a setting. Still doesn’t bring the temps up to normal setting . Very disappointed with Whirlpool, which has been my appliance of choice since I started buying appliances.

Where's the Quality Assurance?
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Refrigerator works great however it came with defects from the factory. Freezer door seal along bottom is out of the track so it hangs ¾ inch low and allows cold air to escape. I have 1/2 to 1 inch long icicles hanging from inside top of freezer. Refrigerator door was installed crooked so there is also a small gap at top of door which allows cold air to escape. After waiting 3 weeks for repair date, I'm now waiting over a week to hear back about the proposed fix. Otherwise it works fine. I'm concerned with overall workmanship and quality checks of other parts of the refrigerator/freezer.

Too noisy when it runs and it runs often!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have had the refrigerator only two weeks, and the amount of noise it makes from the compressor while running is really a loud "buzzing" in the background too much of the time. An appliance service person checked the refrigerator out yesterday, and he said that is the normal sound of these newer refrigerators, unfortunately. So somehow we learn to live with it, but I doubt we'll ever buy a Whirlpool again if this is generally the noise they will make. Otherwise, the refrigerator seems fine. The stainless steel is, however, a pain to keep clean. Would not buy stainless steel again.

Whirring noise in compressor when running
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this refrigerator on May 4 and it started a high pitch whirring noise when we plugged it in. We made 4 calls to Whirlpool before we finally found a service person. The whirring noise is in the compressor and the service man was told by Whirlpool service department that the compressor was from Chiina and that is the way they sound, and we would have to learn to live with it. It is a high pitch whirring and very annoying and embarrassing when people visit. The answer from Whirlpool is totally unacceptable!

Major Disappointment
I have been an avid Whirlpool appliance user over the last 20 years. All my appliances have been whirlpool including washer and dryer. I recently upgraded my appliances to stainless 3 months ago and what a mess. The fridge is not cold and freezer is starting to defrost. The light is on but the fridge is silent, not a sound coming from it. I just purchased food for a huge fathers day party and everything spoiled. Hundreds of dollars in food. I called customer service and the best they can do is 5 days from now. How is that possible??? There are no other service techs that work weekends?? What a shame! I am extremely disappointed!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Refrigerator does keep products reasonably cold and freezer products frozen. However, my previous refrigerator had a much more substantial door and refrigerator thickness keeping things colder.
My previous refrigerator had a light in both the refrigerator and freezer sections. In this refrigerator model only the refrigerator section has a light, but the freezer section does not. I believe both the refrigerator section and freezer should both have a light.
This refrigerator runs much more often than my previous refrigerator. When running it has very strange sounds, almost like voices.!
