Whirlpool 1.9 cu. ft. White Steam Microwave with Sensor Cooking

We are very happy with our new Whirlpool microwave. It is exactly what my wife wanted. I would like to also tell you how happy I am with the ABT support team the walked me thru the process of witch microwave to buy, it was not the one I had intended to buy, but this worked out better.

What I like best about this microwave is how quiet it is. The chime at the end of a cycle is unusual but not horrible. There is an option to turn off some or all sounds. All in all it’s a pretty good microwave.

I don't use the microwave part all that much but it's a great convection oven. There are 2 of us now and it's so useful I rarely use my wall oven. And it cooks about 25% faster than a regular oven and is a lot quieter. The alert chime is much more pleasing than my previous oven.

This is an exceptional above-range microwave & exhaust. Same size cabinet as the one it replaced but larger interior, with a rack for when you need still more space. Heats well and all functions work as expected. Sharp appearance, with a muted matte grey interior.

I have not found any flaws with this product to date as I have used to reheat complete dinners using the auto sensing mode. Have not used the convection oven mode yet but do not anticipate any thing other than great results.

I like the new finish inside - easy to clean. Controls are easy to use. I'll withhold final opinion until I see how long the over the stove light lasts and if the unit doesn't fail as quickly as the last one.

Very well built, Very precise in the cooking, Love it. Salesman was very helpful in helping me select this product.

  Difficult To Use

The microwave works well. The instruction booklet is poor. The installer needs to spend 5 to 10 minutes showing and explaining how to operate the unit before moving on to the next job. The unit is very large.

I didn't think to measure the depth of the microwave so it sticks out a little from the cabinets but otherwise fits in nicely. I love having the buttons on the actual door rather than a side keypad. The handle is solid which has been an issue with my previous microwave.

We use the Microwave every day for heating, reheating, and defrosting the many items (soups, stews, meals) we keep in the freezer. I make tea throughout the day, and this is a time saver vs. waiting for the tea kettle.
