[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had this appliance for about a month. It is difficult to use. It takes very long to dry normal loads, especially when drying special loads on low. 60 minutes of drying time at medium heat doesn't dry a normal load of clothes. This machine is less efficient than my previous dryer that was 20 years old. When I open the door, it is cold as if outside air has gathered in the drum. That's confusing. Safety information says not to dry some things that should be able to dried. For example, some pillows that are labeled as washable can't be dried in this machine, and those pillows would never air dry properly.

Good Dryer
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this new Whirlpool Dryer because my 20 year old Whirlpool dryer (same model) finally gave out. I do like this dryer and it works very well if you dry normal loads on "timed dry". When I first used the dryer I found waistbands, sheets, towels coming out slightly damp in spots. I called for service because I thought something was wrong. The tech told me that nothing was wrong...just dry everything on "timed dry" which I've been using. I love the large capacity of the dryer and the touch pad for the controls. However, if anything, in my opinion, there are too many bells and whistles. But that's just the way things are made now.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wish I didnt buy this dryer, each time I want to use it and I press the start button it keeps on getting on “reset” mode, I have to hold the starts button for 10 seconds and sometimes starts after that, or sometimes doesnt, thenI I have to “reset it” several times,I wish I could return it, It is not worth it, sometimes I loud the dryer and Ithinks it measures the wetness and it only works for 10 minutes, leaving the clothes wet, and then I have to do everuthing again, Dont Buy

The verdict is still out
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this set as a replacement for my Whirlpool Duet washer/dryer. That being said, although this W/D are quieter, the wash always seems to be a bit wetter than with the Duet washer and the dryer does not get clothes as dry, requiring extra time with most every cycle. The on/off buttons are very touch sensitive so sometimes you have turned it on and then turned it off because you didn't realize it had turned on.

Definitely the worst appliance that I've ever owne
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've owned this product for five months and I've had six repair visits for the same issue. The dryer will just start making a horrific squealing noise at random times. It doesn't seem to matter what type of load. Whirlpool uses this company called Diamond Factory Service whose only business is to service Whirlpool and Maytag products supposedly this is a separate company but just seems like a way for Whirlpool to pass the buck. When the dryer runs it is alright. The moisture sensing can be problematic at times with certain fabrics where it will turn off two minutes after putting my exercise clothes in there. If I could attach a video of what the dryer sounds like I would as it is a horrific sound and its unbelievable that they can't figure out how to fix it.

So far, so very good!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This dryer is great! The drum is very big, the cycles are short enough and it is very silent overall. The lint filter could be a bit easier to pull out and put back in, but that is the only thing where our previous Whirlpool gas dryer was easier. We hooked it up to the internet and now can customize the cycle in - and see progress on - our smartphone. We feel this was a great buy.

Large and lovely

Sadly the sensor on my dryer must be faulty as it isn’t drying properly. I keep trying it with different settings to see if it’s me or the dryer. I am an older person and perhaps it is just too “techy “ for me. Time will tell. As an aside , the washer seems great! Thanks.

Quasi-steam
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It has been about two months since the purchase of this dryer. Very nice dryer and would be five stars if not for my dissatisfaction with the “steam” feature. That feature is more of a quasi-steam, being that it doesn’t really emit steam at all. It is really just a fine mist of water that becomes heated to an evaporation point within the dryer. That coupled with the fact that the feature can only be used with a full load, otherwise the spray will shoot past the clothes and accumulate on the door only to run out onto the floor. My only other complaint would be the very generic and non-technical owner’s manual provided. There are no in-depth descriptions of features, exploded assembly drawings, or part numbers.
Other than that, this is a very nice dryer and I would have bought even if knowing about the “steam” dissatisfaction.
