No frills, which was what I wanted. They work perfectly and were a great price. The washer is maybe a little noisier than my old washer, but it could also just be getting used to the new sounds of a top vs. front loader.
The door latch is tight and with the other reviews I've read, the handle will most likely come off in time. I don't like the knob of the timer much, it doesn't have the click sound, or the right feel to it, between cycles. I may get use to it. The vent hose comes off easily. It's working alright.
I had front loader washer and dryer for over 10 years and loved it. I thought maybe I should upgrade to top loaders. So I bought the whole set whirlpool washer and dryer. My clothes continuously comes out from washer and dryer all wrinkly.
This unit replace a 35 year old Maytag. It is about 3 weeks old. It has a much larger capacity, with more controls and more settings, so it takes more work to be sure I am setting things correctly. But I am getting there. Capacity is much larger, so I can do 30-50% fewer loads.
Because of the configuration of my laundry room, only a hamper door dryer will fit so my choices are limited since that style isn't popular. This dryer fits the space, is easy to use, and does a good job of drying clothes quickly. I'm very happy with the purchase.
Love both the washer and dryer! The washer tub is big enough to wash a large comforter. Gets clothes clean and is quiet for an HE washer. The dryer also gets clothes dry. Both the washer and dryer have all the features I need. Would recommend both products.
Dryers in the old days dried clothes in a short period of time. My experience is that it takes about 3 hours to dry a "normal" load of clothes. I am still experimenting with all of the settings. Yes....this dryer dries clothes but don't hold your breath.....may take 2-3 cycles to accomplish!
This dryer is excellent in that I can just set it and forget it. I also like that it has the lent collector on the top of the washer instead of inside on the bottom. I also like that it has a loud buzzer to let you know when your laundry is dry.
We've had Whirlpool in the past and its reliability is fantastic (ours is close to 20 years old now), so when we got a new house, we chose Whirlpool again. I love the hamper door, it's a must-have, and this one has one.
Does the job. Nothing fancy about the dryer. It doesn't always dry the load with the first round but with the canrio washer that matches this you can do really big loads. So with normal size loads it drys it fine.
