A Big Disappointment
We bought this dishwasher barely 6 months ago. This past weekend the cycle button would light up, however, the start button would not respond or light up, resulting in the dishwasher not working. We followed trouble shooting tips we found online such as holding the start button down and turning the power off at the breaker box. Nothing worked. Called Whirlpool who confirmed it was still under warranty and stated they would send a technician. Upon evaluation the technician determined it needed new parts and informed us it would take a few weeks for them to arrive. How disappointing that a new dishwasher cannot even last 6 months.

Vent will drip on your floor
I wish we could have afforded to return this thing. What a horrible mistake of a purchase. Everything about this dishwasher functions well EXCEPT that the steam is vented out the bottom, which creates condensation that drips all over the floor. It has effectively ruined a patch of our wood flooring underneath the dishwasher. We would have replaced it, but unfortunately our home has CPVC pipes and installation companies/ plumbers now refuse to install appliances on that type of pipe. So we're forced to live with a bowl or plate under our dishwasher until we can afford to replace it and pay extra for the specialized installation.

Okay Budget Dishwasher
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Replaced a higher end LG dishwasher with too many bells and whistles when the control panel went bad 3 times in 2 years. The Whirlpool cleans as well but is very loud - to the point where we only run it at night. Also, the utensil holder that came with the dishwasher was clearly not designed for this model and is a generic cheap holder that does not even attach to the side and slides around inside. The holder, racks and sprayer arms are a cheap plastic. When you open the door, it falls completely down - not sure how long until that breaks. You get what you pay for I guess. Would not recommend.

Stay Away!!!
Stay away from this one. I purchased this dishwasher July 2, 2024, and it was installed August 5, 2024. It completely malfunctioned on August 26, 2025. The dishwasher is stuck on the draining cycle, which runs all times of the day and night. i had to cut the power supply. I will no longer run any other cycle. The trouble shooting is useless as nothing works. This was a replacement for an older model dishwasher that I had for 15 years, which is why I decided to stick with Whirlpool. Fortunately, I opted for the extended warranty; however, a technician is not available until 2 weeks from now. This is completely unacceptable to have to service or even replace a 1 year old appliance.

Stopped Working After 8 Months
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have a new build home, and the dishwasher stopped working after only 8 months past installment. The Start button did not light up, and it would not start. Then it starts on its own, like a phantom dishwasher, randomly starting at various times, leaving a tone of water at the bottom. So we have to make sure the door is not fully closed, but the lights will all be on with the Start button blinking and ready to go. Someone came to service it, but said we needed a part, which is now taking a month. Also, we are only 2 people who use it every 10 days or so.

Dishwasher has NEVER drained.
Bought this DW in March of 25. A plumber installed it but it wouldn't drain. Called another plumber to repair the issue. no problem found with the install but still unit wouldn't drain. April 25 I scheduled a repair right with Whirlpool's repair service. I heard nothing so a few weeks later I phoned them and was told they found no problem!
What?? It does not drain.So now, one month out of warranty and I still have a dishwasher filled with water to the point the heating element is rusted. My daughter refused to use it and hand washed her dishes all year.
I think the lemon law should apply. New dishwasher has NEVER worked correctly! .

Only Lasts for a Year! from
Only Good for a Year!
Only buy this if you want to replace it in a year or have to buy a new motherboard. As it is just 15 months since we had this delivered and the dishwasher is no longer reliable. It appears as if the appliance is stuck in the "delay" mode. I've tried to do a hard reset, but it just runs when it wants. I suppose it could be worse as I have discovered others with this model are having similar issues and some are even experiencing it not shutting off.
I attempted to reach out to support for a resolution only to be told "Too bad you are out of the warranty window" and will need to pay to have a tech service the appliance.

Not in the Right Area from
No Follow up
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Leaked when I bought it and still do not have it fixed, or have a solution planned with whirlpool to get it fixed. Contacted Whirlpool right away that it was leaking from the discharge pump, and they were going to get a service tech out to get it fixed. They followed up with a call that they don't have a service tech in the area so they have a secondary company that is going to follow up and schedule a time for a service person to come and take care of the problem. This was a week ago and still nothing. Nothing from the service tech, but nothing from Whirlpool following up to make sure their equipment is fixed.
