Better than expected
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this dishwasher almost a month ago. There’s just two of us therefore; I run it when full on Fridays. So far it has exceeded my expectations. It runs very quietly and my dishes come out sparkling clean. The one hour wash is great. I use the heat to dry and dishes come out dry as expected. The silverware tray it great. I really like the configuration. I can get more dishes in this one than my old dishwasher. I love my new Whirlpool dishwasher. So happy I choose it instead of some of the other choices. For the price, the quietness and efficiency you can’t beat this one. Love it!!!

O.K. but Not Great
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Although visually pleasing, the dishwasher has its flaws. Using the rinse additive Whirlpool recommends left a notable film on all of the dishes. You can only fill the dispenser so much so it's not like it was overfilled, and it was filled by the installer while showing me all its features. The racks are my least favorite. they are coated with a cheap plastic and all the rows are fixed so you can not lay one down to accommodate something larger. I do wish it would turn itself off completely after a cycle so the mother board wont burn out over time keeping the control panel lights lit.

Whirlpool used to be a good name
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My son-in-law and daughter bought this for me in late January. Although I always scrape my dishes, after the first two weeks or so, it no longer got the dishes clean. Whirlpool corporate office contact suggested I call a service tech. When he came out he said that the upper and lower arms were clogged. He said that the dishes have to be absolutely clean before you wash them in the machine; or the arms will clog and there is no way to clean them; they have to be replaced. What kind of crazy is that??!!! Costs me more for water and time. Never had this problem with other brands of dishwashers I have had.

Manufacturing flaws to consider
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall, it does what it is supposed to do.
Tried to peel off the protective plastic cover on door. The edges were built into the door! frame and around the pins for installing the door handle. I had to unscrew and open the door in order to get the plastic residues out. During unscrewing I found two of the screws were already too lose.
It helps if:
1- You don't build packaging into the product.
2- Tighten all screws before packaging
3- Have some minimum inspection.
The washer is also loud. But I can't complain about it. The noise level data was already in the specs.

Nice dishwasher but came broken
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this dishwasher. Installed it and turned it on. Found out quick that the tub on the back was cracked up and water started spraying out on my new cabinets and floors. Whirlpool covers the damage to fix it but doesn’t replace it so I have a brand new dishwasher that has to be taken apart and rebuilt in my kitchen and in the mean time I’m without a dishwasher for 2-3 weeks waiting for a tech to have to time to come look at it and order parts and come back to fix it

Cycles Are Too Long
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The regular wash cycle on our Whirlpool dishwasher runs close to two hours. Why is that necessary? As a result, we don't use it. And the Quick cycle is an hour. Nothing "quick" about that, but we use it because it's the shortest run time. I also don't care for the selection panel located on the top of the door. No changes can be made to cycles chosen without opening it. 20/20 hindsight on my part. Aside from those two complaints, the machine cleans the contents well and is fairly quiet. However, I can't recommend this particular Whirlpool appliance to friends without first advising them of my criticisms. They can decide from there whether it would be a good purchase for them.

GOOD BUDGET DISHWASHER
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this dishwasher about 2 months ago. So far, I have been pleased with it. It looks great in my kitchen. Performance pros are that it is quiet and cleans the dishes well. Performance cons are that there is a moderated amount of water that remains in the bottom after a cycle. In order to get the dishes, dry I have to use the extended drying options. Sometimes the dishes smell like a wet dog, using a rinse helps with the problem. Between those two issues I leave the door open to let it air out. Overall, for the price I I can deal with those concerns and am pleased with the dishwasher, but they might bother other consumers.

Fails after 1 year
I have had this dishwasher for a year. Looks brand new even but now it has stopped working, specifically it fills with water but will not start the wash cycle. Popular online diagnostics suggest I push the "normal button" and the "heated dry button." Problem is, there is no normal button, only "cycle" button. This procedure does not seem to work for the "cycle" button. I came here to check the manual online to see if there is a reset procedure listed here...well Whirlpool decided not to put the manual for this dishwasher online and cant find it anywhere else. Thanks whirlpool for screwing me over. Not that I have the money to buy a replacement anyway but I definitely will NEVER by your product again.
