Whirlpool WCE77US6HS 36 Inch Electric Smoothtop Cooktop

Purchased on 10/5/2023 to replace the gold series 36 inch that was not working properly after 5 years of use. This unit distribute heat more effectively and heat water a lot faster than the model I had to replace it with.

I like that the heating elements are very conspicuous, and the "hot surface" indicator protect me from burning myself, and remind me to move my pots and pans from the stove.

Touch control cooktop was recalled and had to be replaced with knob controls. Whirlpool was great as far as making things right. If you have one replaced make sure you have someone home all day, our installers showed up 3 hours early.

We bought this stove top, but didn't get to take it out of the box. When they measured for granite, we were told that a 36" wouldn't work even though we had a 36" stove before granite. We had to purchase a 30". Whirlpool was great to work with to exchange cooktops.

This unit was installed by builder in 2019. Whenever I put a burner on low it's still too high of a heat and burns everything. It has always done this. Not sure if anyone else has this issue.

We love our new stove top! So elegant looking and works great!
