I had the older version for over 20 years. I replaced it with a GE that lasted 2 days(it was flimsy, wouldn't dry clothes)I replaced it with the same model I had and am pleased.Unfortunately the price is more expensive than the newer ones for some odd reason. But im assured of the quality.
It works perfectly for us, in terms of space, noise and the auto sensor. The only reason I am not giving it a perfect score is because it is hard to open and close. I have to slam the the door really hard to lock it. I also noticed that the door is not sitting perfectly.
It dries the clothes well and is very quiet. I purchased this for my RV and it fit perfectly in the closet. It can also dry a lot more clothes at one time than I expected. The only drawback is there is only one heat setting.

Very easy to use and works well. We've never had a washer & driver in our motorhome and since we just purchased the motorhome we're still getting used to it but this is a great add-on so we don't need to find a laundromat. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
I purchased this dryer 10 years ago for my Mom. When she passed (2008) I took it and use it until just the other day. I loved it. It is NOT meant to be used for large families or those that stuff a dryer full and expect the clothes to dry.
If you have to have a portable, this is probably the best one.

Sturdy, lightweight, works as well as could be expected.

Seriously overpriced, nearly has the market to itself.
I just purchased this exact model from my local Rent A Center for 150.00 This dryer is compact and well built. It runs on standard household current. No 220 line needed to operate this dryer. The dryer functions well for a lower voltage portable dryer. My clothes come out dry and unwrinkled.
Disappointed. Our old dryer was about 4 -4.5 cu. ft. We felt something smaller but not too small would be fine. After buying our preferred brand - Whirlpool - we realized it used 120 volts, not 240. Our old dryer used 240.
This is the only dryer that will fit in our space. It has to be electric. It replaced a 21-year old dryer. I don't feel this one will last for 21 years--seems less durable and less substantial. I would recommend this to a friend ONLY if they didn't have a choice
We've owned a motorhome with a washer/dryer combination machine, and found that the clothes got washed OK, but they were barely "dry!" I'm loving my new Westinghouse compact dryer - now fold the clothes after they are dry instead of draping them all over the motorhome to finish drying! Hooray!
