Upgraded to the four burner Weber
Love my new grill. I enjoy grilling and probably use my grill once a week. I previously had a 3 burner Weber, but needed a bit more space for when I entertain. I cooked one of my specialities, beer can chicken, for friends recently and we all agreed it was the best beer can chicken I had made. I think the extra space in the grill and its evenness for indirect cooking made the difference. I never quite got the hang of the sear station on my old grill (10+ years old), but have found this one much easier to use and producing a perfect medium rare steak. Looking forward to trying out the griddle that I bought with it.

Roy E-435 Grill Review
My e-415 Weber grill blew off my deck during a wind storm earlier this year. It was only 7 years old. I loved that grill, especially the 'copper' color. However, this grill has a side burner, closed doors for storage, a separate side storage unit and a large surface. I separately purchased a half griddle, which I really enjoy making breakfast and other foods on the grill. I wish the griddle was about an inch higher on the sides. This would prevent food from falling into the grill...especially when flipping vegetables, but not a big problem. I also would bring back the copper grill as an option...great color!

Great looking grill. Now the downside. Upon delivery, ignitor for the side burner didn’t work. Contacted Weber and they sent a new ignitor assembly. I had to install and now the burner is functioning. Two weeks of ownership and the stainless grates are rusting. Contacted Weber and they shipped a full set of new grates. Upon receipt I checked the grates with a magnet and in fact they are strongly magnetic. So the grates are a low grade of stainless so I will see how long these ones last.
On the positive side, Weber customer service was very pleasant to work with and very responsive.
Summing up, I would expect more from a grill this expensive.

Great design
I bought this grill to take the place of an earlier (2017) four burner Genesis grill that worked just fine but which lacked a sear zone and related extra burner. I was impressed with the very flexible grate design and functionality provided by the new grill version and - yes - the sear zone does exactly what it is supposed to do.
However, having left the new grill without its cover on on one occasion where there was a rainstorm, I discovered that the new Genesis was much less watertight than the older version, so ALWAYS use a cover between uses - otherwise the enclosure under the grill becomes totally soaked.

Get your soapy water ready!
The amount of effort I had to use to get the plastic off of the lid and the door handles is completely UNACCEPTABLE. Shame on you Weber! I had to removed the lid and repeatedly wipe the lid and doors with soapy warm water (as suggested by Weber support) and slowly and meticulously remove the plastic one small piece at a time for 20 minutes. The next morning there was still glue residue all over the lid and the doors. I ended up using isopropyl alcohol on paper towels for another 10 minutes or so get get the glue off. UNACCEPTABLE! I will post this in all of my online reviews. So frustrating!

Outstanding Cooking performance
My new Genesis Grill is everything I was hoping for. Well built with quality materials but just as important, much more efficient than the grill I had previously. I find that the grill heats quickly and provides a good even distribution of heat giving perfect results every time.

Fantastic Purchase
Finally broke down a purchased a new Weber Grill. I had a Genis Gold that was 18 years plus and i cannot talk about that grill enough. We decided to purchase a new Weber and the 435 was a great choice. No lie it took a few times to get used to even heat, and fantastic indirect eat but that grill has surpassed all expectations. Steaks, ribs and vegetables come out perfect every time. There is always even heat and we have used aa cast iron skillet on it and it is fantastic. Our next purchase is for the flat top insert and i am waiting for that. If your going to get a new grill i strongly suggest you look at the 435

Expensive but worth it.
Expensive but good quality. Worth the money. Heats fast and cooks well. This is the first expensive grill I’ve ever had. Normally I buy cheap ones that last maybe 2-3 years. I got tired of constantly replacing them so I went with a Genesis this time. Only con I have is the stainless steel rusts in my area (Washington State) I recommend wiping grill down weekly with bar keepers friend as small rust starts to develop on the stainless steel but once a week clean with bar keepers it comes right off. Would recommend a Weber to anyone who can afford the entry fee. Well made and cooks better than any cheaper grill I’ve had.
