My go to grill!
I purchased my 22” original kettle grill almost a year ago and started filling and smoking with it in the dead of winter! Yes, you read right I have and do smoke meat with my Weber grill. The construction is solid. It was a snap to assemble. The cooking real estate is immense. I can easily grill several hamburgers, hotdogs, and chicken breasts all at the same time and feed everyone. No one has to wait for what they want as other things are being grilled. Smoking is not an issue with the Weber either. Set up for an offset cook, add a couple lumps of smoke wood, mind your temp, sit back, and you will be rewarded with smoked meat that will melt in your mouth. I can’t say enough about my Weber grill and will be adding to my collection in the near future!

Good all round grill
Very happy with my Webber. I am self employed and as such write my own schedule. That includes grilling on the Webber every Friday and Sunday. I have smoked Boston Butts, Brisket and made Beer Butt Chicken with no issues. Although the Brisket was a challenge!
My only complaint is that the included Thermostat is to small and poorly placed for accurately measuring temperature at grill level. I installed a Tel-Tru BQ300 Barbecue Thermometer, with a 3 inch black dial at grill level and have had much better results when cook over indirect low heat and while smoking foods.
Overall I love my Webber.

New But Not Improved
This 22" Premium Kettle was purchased to replace one that was several years old that had seen a lot of use. The new one is still a Weber and still works, but it's changed, and not necessarily for the better.
There is now only one handle on the bowl, which means less tools can be hung, and it's much more difficult to move. Living in the Midwest, I have relied on that extra handle on many occasions to help move my kettle to safety during unexpected weather.
The other thing I noticed seems to be quality control. The inside of the bowl was not coated evenly with the porcelain enamel. It looks like there are drips you would see with a poorly done spray paint application.

Perfect for Everyday Backyard Grilling and Smoking
The grill is perfect for quick and small BBQ needs. I have BBQ-ed ribs, boston butt, burgers, veggies, chicken, and sausages. The attachments (I purchased them separately) also adds to the diversity of the grill. I plan to purchase a few more grills like this (in different colors). I haven't had any problems and enjoy the efficiency of a small grill as compared to other off-set smokers. I also have several larger smokers that I use for catering large events, but for quick backyard meals, I prefer to use my Original Weber!

I love it!
I purchased my grill about 45 days ago. I have used propane grills for years, and had forgotten how wonderful charcoal grills are.
Everything I have grilled so far has come out at, or very near, perfect!
Want a treat? Babybacks, pressure cooked about 14 minutes, soak them in sauce, then grill them on your super cool Weber. Oh.... Yeah.... The texture of bbq with charcoal, is the absolute bomb!
My only problem. We had a storm last week and the wind caught the cover and tossed it across the yard, into a retaining wall. It put a small dent in the rim, and knocked about an inch square patch of the ceramic coating off. Bummer!
But I still love my baby!

Poor quality control
I have owned many Weber charcoal grills throughout the years and have had excellent luck with their products and performance.. I recently purchased a 22" Copper deluxe grill with the hopes of the same performance.. I assembled the grill per instructions and using the lid screw tool.. It looked great! The first time I tried to used it the lid chipped where the holes were by the lid... I was crushed.. Weber sent out another lid, and it did the same thing... They sent out a third lid, but assembled the handle themselves... It was so loose that it flopped around every time I lifted it up... They obviously have a problem with this finish... I beat the heck out of my black grills and they all performed beautifully... Not one scratch or chip theur whole life... I just wish I could switch to the black version as I love the copper color but hate the quality control...

My Daughter's Good Idea
I have had nothing but gas grills for years. Had a weber so long ago I almost forgot and I liked it, used it a lot. Well, we needed a grill for the house, I was looking at gas of course when my daughter stepped in and said "get a Weber" you will love it. Reminded me of the time when I had one and the success I had cooking on it so I bought the Original Kettle Premium Charcoal Grill 22. Love it! Easy to use, easy to clean up, cooks just as well if not better than the one I had years ago. Glad I bought it. It has encouraged the daughter to cook on it too. I would recommend it for anyone that wants a top notch charcoal grill. You won't be sorry.

I have been wanting this Grill for 5 years! Its so strong and sturdy. I love how I can add charcoal, and hang the lid on the side, the ash holder is great. The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars is because the ash holder is difficult to insert and remove for me. It has two metal prongs that you have to squeeze to insert and remove the bottom bowl. I'm a 50 yr female ( but still the Grill-master in this house) and have a hard time with it. I'm sure men will have no issues with this because of strength. My husband said it was also simple to put together. My steaks turn out way better than any expensive steakhouse on this!! you won't regret spending the extra for quality.
