WD 4TB Desktop Performance Caviar Black HDD Retail Kit (WD4003FZEX)

I purchased three (3) of the Western Digital 4TB Caviar Black HDD's for my Mac Pro. The HDD's that Western Digital produces have never failed on me. Whether for video, music or data storage I can always count on Western Digital to be there. I would and have recommended Western Digital products.

This large HDD is intended for use in desktops in situations that require speedy access to large files, such as video, audio and photo manipulation and editing. However, I use it for additional storage in my Windows Home Server.

I have used Western digital Black series with great success.

I use this drive for video, video editing, negatives, slides and photos for slide shows. This drive is great value for space, durability and reliability. I would recommend this drive to any one. Mark

Western digital has never failed me. I've had countless drives from them, always working as expected. Runs a bit hotter than WD green drives but faster.

Very fast but a little noisy. I added pads to the feet of the drive case to quiet the transmission through the desktop and it quieted down quite a bit.

I have used WD Black drives exclusively in my Drobo 5D for about 5 years. I am a photographer and need the capacity, performance, and longevity of these drives. I started with 5 x 1TB drives, and had already upgraded 3 of them with 4TB Drives.

One of my internal HD's died......so I'm replacing it with this. After 1 month it is doing very well. Hope it last a nice long time. LOL!

I purchased three (3) of the Western Digital Internal 4TB HDD with a five (5) year warranty to install in my Mac Pro that already has one (1) Western Digital 4TB HDD in it. In the early 1980's I started using Western Digital for digital and analog storage in my computers.

Installed it into a new build as my primary drive. I haven't done a build in a number of years and there were no problems, I'll probably buy a second drive shortly.
