Set up and back up was absolutely painless!!! Works great for iMac highly recommended.
I have to say the size is pretty awesome. For the most part installing it was super easy and the cord was a perfect length in my opinion. I appreciate how quick it was to install and the operating system was super easy to navigate. Though I just purchased I am content with the product.
Bought one yesterday and Mac didn't recognize it. Returned it and got another today - same problem. User manual wasn't in the box, either. Looked online and it's gonna take ALOT of work to get my computer to recognize this - way more than I have time or skills to do.
I purchased this 2TB for use with my Mac Book Air when traveling. I like to back up images I've taken daily, its cheap insurance. Secondly, my Mac Book Air has a limited hard drive and this allows me to store thousands of images from previous trips. Its compact size and weight are ideal.
It's nice and compact. Works with USB only.
Fine, serves a purpose. Not particularly elegant but functional. Time will tell as regards its reliability.
Ready to go right out of the box, usb 3 is a blessing
Ideal for Apple Mac backups and storage of family videos and photos.
Does what it is supposed to do though petty to charge extra for Mac format
Three months in, and the unit is unable to load/be recognized on my Mac. Result, 3000 photos lost. The unit cannot be relied on as the only data storage unit. If you do, you may be extremely disappointed, as I am.
