The Vortex Diamondback HD series was launched in the middle of 2019. At that time it consisted of as many as eight models with following parameters: 8x28, 10x28, 8x32, 10x32, 8x42, 10x42, 10x50 and 12x50. In 2020 another pair of binoculars, the 15x56, was added to that line-up.

  • +

solid, very nice, and ergonomic casing made of magnesium composites,, wide field of view,, sensible colour reindition,, clean optics inside the tubes,, good quality prisms made of BaK-4 glass,, round exit pupils,, sharp images already from 1.4 metres,, lifetime warranty.

  • -

visible chromatic aberration on the edge of the field of view,, significant blurry area on the edge of the field of view,, blackenning inside the tubes could have been better.

I bought these to take when I travel on a non birding trip. I thought the 10x25 would just be to difficult to get on a bird quickly and too dark as the light fades. The Vortex 8x32 are larger but are useable at dusk and focus easily. They will not replace the Vortex 8x42 that I normally use but for...

I was looking for a lite pair of binos for hiking. My hunting swaro's are to big and heavy for the water pocket on my backpack.

These were recommended to me by Simcah for my African safari and he was 100% correct. Perfect size and weight, but more importantly, very sharp. The detail was incredible. Dont let the price fool you, these are as good as higher priced brands.

I bought my Diamondback 8x32 binoculars to use for birdwatching, general hiking and as a compact easy-to-carry and easy-to-pack take anywhere binocular. There are a lot of things to like about them: their compact size, light weight, good handling, centre sharpness, wide field of view, good...

Wanted something smaller and lighter for birding as I usually have my camera with me when I go out. My wife has an older pair of 8 x 42 Nikon Monarch 3's and I don't find the 32's let in any less light.

Excellent binoculars at a great price. Very portable and With HD lenses very sharp imaging at 8x magnification, great hard carry case and comfortable neck strap. Also comes with Vortex’s VIP warranty For peace of mind if they accidentally got damaged. Overall a great package!

I bought these binoculars to replace my Nikon pro staffs. Primary reason was I looking to reduce weight, size of 10x42’s with 8x32’s. Cabela’s sales representative recommended these and I liked the optics in store. Decided to buy for archery and rifle in Northeastern USA (Ct).

Great binos for the price. Clear, crisp glass. Nice small package with plenty of power.

I recently purchased a pair of 8 x 32 Diamondbacks. This pair complements the 8 x 42 Diamondbacks I purchased for my wife for Christmas for bird watching. While the field of view of the 8 x 32s is a little smaller, quite honestly it's not so much smaller that it makes much difference in spotting and...
