When you have less than $1500 to spend on a projector, there are many 1080p models that will deliver good brightness, accurate color, and a sharp image. But honestly, I can’t imagine why one wouldn’t pick the PX727-4K. It simply delivers excellent picture quality at an amazing price.
The ViewSonic PX727-4K is the first projector to offer a claimed 4K resolution for less than £1000. An achievement made all the more impressive by the fact that, despite its price heroics, it’s actually pretty good. The ViewSonic PX727-4K looks a little busy – but it’s kind of cute with it.

Unprecedentedly cheap for a 4K projector, Decent all-round picture quality, Compact design

Black levels aren't the best, Requires careful setup, Input lag a touch too high for competitive gaming
Most recently purchased the ViewSonic PX727-4K projector. It represented a very substantial upgrade from an old OptomaHD200X model purchased some 7 years ago. It's a brilliant little projector that's very easy on the eye---andeven easier to get to like in performance.
I've had this for about a week now. I wanted try an upgrade from my HD projector (which I'm very happy with) to 4k. I don't own a TV. I watch all TV, streaming and films via a projector. So my previous one and this one get a lot of use.
I've had this projector for about 1 month. I decided to take the plunge once the 4K projectors hit an "acceptable" price point for me. I replaced an Optoma HD20 with this after 6 years of happy 1080p movie watching which I was really happy with.
Bought this projector about aMonth ago now, for a home cinema in myHouse.Been centre of attraction from all friends .
I bought this 2 weeks ago and have not been able to get Sky Q to recognise the UHD compatibility of this projector. Tried every possible setting and the ViewSonic website. Now trying to get suppprt from richersounds. Already have a 1080 3D projector so no UHD is no use to me.
Having owned four projectors over the past 20 years and this one being my latest upgrade. I can confirm the 4k picture is both jaw dropping and mesmerising. The projector is quiet in eco mode and bright enough for dimly lit rooms.
Good projector no problems not too expensiveGood picture
What a brilliant projector for the money .I have been using an Optoma 1080p projector for the last four years and this projector makes it look totally aged .Firstly the 4k picture is amazing, upscaled 4k looks fantastic, and ordinary DVD takes on a new lease of life .It really is a bargain .Check out...
