I believe all the facts and figures that I have quoted or measured to be correct, however mistakes do sometimes happen, which I apologize for. Please if you discover any, feel free to drop me a line and I will correct it.
Clear bright binoculars. Case too small once I switched to a harness strap. Smallest interpupillary distance slightly less narrow than my old binos, but just narrow enough for me. If you have your current ones all the way together then try before you buy. Definitely worth the $$$.
Great expectations My wife and I (both retired) live in an urban area on top of a mountain with lots of wild life and many birds.
After reading many reviews, both here and on the Internet, I decided on this model. Glad I did. I wear glasses 100% of the time, but with these Vanguards, I can quickly move from wearing my glasses to going without them. Difference in view is virtually indistinguishable from each other.
Worth every penny, especially with the $100 manufacturer rebate. A net cost of $129 for this binocular is incredible. The ability to see clearly at low light levels is remarkable.
I will use these binoculars for deer hunting and bird watching. Their size, magnification, and featuresare more and better than I realized when ordering. I am very satisfied with them.
Please note that I am no binocular connoisseur. My intended use is on my boat, coastal cruising, to look for markers and observe wildlife. I compared these with the Nikon Monarch 5. I found these and the Nikons virtually indistinguishable in practical use.
very nice binoculars, love it
I've looked through a lot of binoculars in the past 2 months, and these are good backups, especially if it's true that their magnesium body makes them extra tough (I don't know for sure if this is true).
