I can see why this tripod caught the attention of the TIPA judges. 30+ editors of photography magazines know a thing or two about camera equipment and I guess they were blown away by the light weight, but sturdy build, the versatile and flexible controls and the positioning capabilities of the Alto...
Multi-angle central column, Sturdy hexagonal centre column, Light weight, Excellent maximum height, Well postitioned angle leg locks
Less common quick release plate
I bought this tripod because the articulating boom is perfect for the product photography I do. It has seen less than 100 hours of use in the passed three years. First it got wobbly because the clamp that holds the boom angle became loose.
works great both in the studio and on location. was really useful when doing a macro project at a nursrey.
Compact, Easily Adjusted, Good Footing, Lightweight, Locks In Tight, Smooth Movement
Higher quality than I assumed from the reviews. Precise fit and mechanical actions, sturdy high quality materials , and very versatile.
I recently purchased this tripod due to the fact that the tripod that I had purchased in early 2014 recently broke in late February 2017 with the leg of my Targus Black Label 60 inch tripod completely falling out while stretching out the legs out.
Such a strong, reliable, tripod for being so light! Very pleased with it's comfort and adjustment abilities.
It's light weight but stable.Appears to be of good quality.
Purchased this tripod for my gf for as a Christmas gift she loves it! She's a very talented artist that does hand drawings. Super sturdy compared to others, the swivel is perfect for her to hold camera directly above her hand while she does her drawings for time lapse videos, highly recommend!!!
the tripod does not work. one leg is always opened to the fullest. no graduation.
Easy set-up.All the features that I was looking for at a reasonable price.Quite sturdy.
My first tripod. Love the height I get, clips are sturdy to hold it in place. I thought it would be heavier in weight but I am glad it's not. I am still getting used to setting it up, I feel awkward ..... but I will get the hang of it.
