The field of high-end optics is getting more competitive every year. The fact that Nikon lowered the prices on the Monarch line a couple of years back in order to stay competitive is evidence of that. The Vanguard Endeavor ED II is an excellent set of binoculars at a competitive price.

Feels good in the hand, sturdy yet elegant, focuses well, it's been sunny the last few days so haven't tested it in poor light conditions, but appears to draw plenty of light. At the price it is available, I couldn't be more pleased
I purchased these for a recent trip to the Grand Tetons and Yellowstone NPs. They exceeded all my expectations. The view was extremely clear and several people who had other binocs and tried these commented how much better the view was through these.
Good up close and at a distance. Clear bright imagine, easy to handle and easy to use. Best purchase I've made in a long time. They're Great!!!
This binocular combines excellent optics with fine ergonomics and mechanical precision. I think it is a very good value at its price.
I purchased the bins for an upcoming 2 week land tour in south central and the interior parts of Alaska. This trip is yet to occur but I have taken these out and about in Ohio and my initial observation is that these will be well suited for wildlife observation.
Already owned the 8x42 ED binoculars...my wife and I were always taking turns when viewing wildlife and birds etc. So decided to try the 10x EDII set. Just as with the 8x a very nice binocular.
We use these traveling and at home. We take them on expedition type trips for birding or boat trips. They are light enough that holding them for long periods of time is not a problem.
