Despite the inconvenience of its tablet-based menus and apps, the Vizio M series' excellent image quality and value make it a top choice for the price.
-
+
The affordable Vizio M series has excellent overall picture quality that competes well against even more expensive TVs. It can handle both high-dynamic-range formats. The remote is a fully functional Android tablet.
-
-
Using the tablet for settings and streaming apps is often more of a hassle than traditional onscreen menus. No built-in tuner, so you can't watch over-the-air antenna broadcasts unless you attach a separate tuner.
While Vizio’s new SmartCast tablet system gave us more headaches than its cool factor made up for, the M65-D0 offers perhaps the most impressive picture quality in its price range, which makes it well worth considering — especially for videophiles on a tight budget.
-
+
Excellent contrast, rich black levels, Brilliant and fairly accurate colors, Sharp 4K picture, Support for both HDR10 and Dolby Vision HDR, Free Android tablet included
-
-
Tablet UI quirks can be a headache, Only one HDMI input with HDR support, No TV tuner
Vizio's new M-Series of HDTVs shows you can get a big 4K screen with a very good picture without spending a whole lot of money.
-
+
Excellent contrast. Accurate color. Inexpensive compared with similar-sized 4K HDTVs.
-
-
Menus occasionally looks a bit fuzzy. Yahoo-based app ecosystem feels clunky.
Vizio’s budget-minded display handles both flavors of HDR and, a few quirks aside, delivers impressive performance.
-
+
Impressive contrast and shadow detail, Handles both Dolby Vision and HDR10, Affordable price
-
-
Wi-Fi sync issue with included tablet remote, No extended-color-gamut capability, Some halo artifacts from local dimming backlight, Only one HDMI 2.0a input
At this price and performance mark, the Vizio 65-inch M-Series is destined to be a popular 4K ultra-HD set that appeals to a wide variety of shoppers. While it lacks some high-end features, such as support for the newest high dynamic range (HDR) content, it covers all the necessary 4K bases.
-
+
Excellent contrast and deep blacks, Good color reproduction, Large 4K picture for a reasonable price, Handy remote with built-in keyboard
-
-
Aging smart TV interface, Poor sound
Reviewers are impressed by the 65-inch Vizio M65-D0. This is a 4K set with performance and features that stand up well when compared to TVs that cost considerably more.
-
+
Great picture quality, Google Cast-based streaming, Free 6-inch tablet
-
-
No built-in tuner, Limited brightness, Performance in smaller (60-inch and below) screen sizes may not be as good
The Vizio 2016/2017 M-series is a value oriented HDR 4K LED TV that we were eagerly awaiting. The M-series has 64 active zones of full array backlighting compared to the 32 last year 64 on the P-series 4K Vizio. Vizio's new spacial scaling engine is much improved for this year.
The VIZIO M65-C1 is an excellent "right now" TV. What do I mean by that? If you're shopping specifically to upgrade from HD to Ultra HD and plan to upgrade to UHD source devices like Ultra HD Blu-ray when they are available, then the M65-C1 probably isn't the best choice--since it can't take...
Want to dive into the HDR future without spending a bundle? Look no further.
The Vizio E series offers the very good image quality for a rock-bottom price, as long as you stick to the 60-inch and larger models.
-
+
The bigger Vizio E series sets offer the best picture quality available in this price range, thanks to local dimming. The Google Cast system offers more apps and frequent updates than many dedicated smart-TV systems, and now you can access some apps without using your phone.

Roku TVs are better for streaming. No built-in tuner.
The android remote and vizio cast remote are TERRIBLE! Such a frustrating system!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I should have read the user reviews along with cnet's review. I own 2 previous vizios with normal simple remotes that were great deals but this Vizio cast is just HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!!

+
None because Vizio cast is TERRIBLE

VIZIO CAST AND ANDROID REMOTE
My wife and I bought this TV today, and we absolutely love it!! Highly recommend!!
Delivery was timely and packaging was professional. Add a sound bar to complete set up. It's worth another $130. This will serve us well on the basement wall. We found a great wall mount for less than $100.
This is an amazing display. The TV is so clear and bright. I was debating between this Vizio and the Samsung KS8000 series and for the price, I could not pass up the Vizio. I was able to get it on sale.
It is the center if our home theater. It works well with iur Sony Receiver, Samsung BR, Channel Master DVR & antenna, and Firestick. All video through receiver into minutor. We could not be happier. Bought because of cnet review and found it right on track.
Everything works as it should . Easy to setup . Just a good value at a decent price .
First, I had requested my delivery to be made early, at 7am no later than 730 as both me and my girlfriend work during the day. The delivery wasn't made until after 8am, which made my girlfriend late for work, and the driver rushed the whole process.
