Typical Tiffen quality... absolutely excellent. Threads perfectly into my zoom lens or the Tiffen skylight filter. The feel of the rotating collar has just the right amount of resistance to feel firm but not uncomfortable and thus remains in place. The rotation also has a feel that is very smooth.
Seems to do the job. But, the low-profile design also means it is difficult to unscrew at times. Wish Tiffen had made it with raised bumps or some other means of applying pressure. I think a set of filter wrenches are in my future.
I couldn't find another 67mm CP filter that is low profile for anywhere near this price. An obvious setback is not being able to put the lens cap on (although I've found it stays for the most part) but that is to be expected with less thread. It works well.
Rotating the filter as you observe the view will show increases in color intensity and sharpness especially when perpendicular to the suns rays. Also cuts reflected glare from water and glass surfaces. Indispensable for outdoor photography.
While not the most expensive on the market I found that it works well for my needs. Most of my photographs are 5mp or less, for ease of sharing, they have shown no lack of clarity or distortion near the edges.A more expensive one may work better. My budget wont allow me to try.
Just what I needed for my 18 - 135mm lens.
very good material...amazing sharp photos!
This is the second one I've ordered, as I now have a second Nikon DSLR and wanted each to have its own polarizer. This brand is fine, never let me down.
Loving the filter! We are out in Glacier Natonal Park. And my photos are popping. Wish I could attach a picture.
I thought I had one, nope, got this and love my pictures now
