Reviewing a recording, and thinking someone was actually coughing in the other room (even though I remembered recording it) was pretty impressive. Almost 360 degrees of sound, and a lot of depth for such an affordable portable gadget. Wish i picked this up a long time ago.

I took this out to record a gospel quartet that I really like and just with using the internal mics the sound was amazing. I also really like the dual recording mode. The main recording clipped a few times when the bass singer got way down there but the second recording at the reduced level was spot...

It far exceeded my expectations. It took a while to navigate, but was well worth it.

A nice recorder with good sound. At first a bid confusing in how to set levels and cycle thru menus, after a little playing and looking at youtube it all fell all in place and it is actually quite simple. The only thing I wish it had is a real line in option so I can take a feed from a sound mixer.

These contraptions are amazing. We use them for the local high school band and orchestra concert festival. Judges use them to make comments as the ensembles are playing. The auto gain works great. The sound quality is wonderful. We move the files to Dropbox.

I have a DR03 which I have used for years but the DR05 is much quieter. The DR03 has some noisy microphone preamps. I do not use this for music but almost everything else. I have a home recording studio for that. There are many recording format options that really make it shine.
