Very sharp. Minimal distortion. Wide maximum aperture. Optically stabilized. Good close focus capability. Weather-sealed design. Available for Canon, Nikon, and Sony SLRs.

This is a super performer at 45mm. I love this focal length as well as 28mm on APS-C. The combination of VC and f/1.8 is way better than f/1.4 for low light. In fact, you only get 1 more step from f/1.8 to f/1.2, while VC gives you extra 3 steps.
