The LK100D is based on the Music Man LIII, and is true to every detail of its Music Man counterpart.From its’ “push-push” active boost on the Volume control, passive tone control, 5-way balanced switching, classic “V” contoured neck with 12” radius, and it’s Sterling By Music Man Vintage Tremolo set to Luke’s personal specifications for full step and a half bends, LK100D is a “players player” guitar.Set to Steve Lukather’s personal playing preference and specifications, the LK100D “Vintage Tremolo” bridge allows for a full 1-1/2 step up pulls, ‘Flutter” effect, or a full dive. Coupled with locking tuning machines, tuning remains accurate and stable.At the very heart and soul of this amazing instrument are the Made In U.S.A DiMarzio Luke Signature “Transition” DP254 and DP255 humbucker pickups. Transition Neck and Bridge Model pickups were designed for Steve Lukather and Luke’s new LIII Music Man guitar. Custom SBMM designed Active Preamp with Push/push volume for gain boost, 500kohm passive tone – .022µF tone capacitor. Quick release, rear-mounted battery door for easy access.
