very impressed. nice rounded frets. a perfect complement to my usa strat. great tone on the neck pickup. flawless construction. my only con is that the high e string is a little to close to the edge of the neck for my liking.

For those looking for a "budget Tele," this is the one! I challenge anyone to find that much difference in quality between this and a Fender Standard Tele! [ read more on Audiofanzine ] I've been playing guitars for about 35 years.

he telecaster has been around for decades, and it's still popular. It has a unique, light sound that fits many genres of music in some way. It is a very bright sounding guitar, with very unique properties, with wonderful clean sounds. The Fender Standard Telecaster is Fender's "budget" telecaster.

/You can also follow my reviews (ahem ramblings) on DooYoo where I originally post first/ The fender telecaster, look at it! The most benign, basic guitar you can get (though updated from the esquire days when one pick up was all you need).

For the past year I have owned a Fender American Telecaster and it is by far the best guitar I own, all my friends envy me for having it. The sound quality from the two single pick-ups are superb although I am considering changing the neck pick-up because the sound that it produces is not entirely...

Fenders mexican range of instruments are exellent. the telecaster was originaly made in the late 40's by Leo Fender. It was the companies first solid body electric guitar. Its famed for being a tough working mans guitar that sounds and looks the part as well as being adaptable for a lot of styles.

classic fender sounds and looks, affordable, free gig bag

Not suited to hevier types of music, neck pick up could have been a bit more lively

This is an excellent guitar at an affordable price to say the absolute least. I do not own this guitar myself, but I have had the opportunity to play and test one out before and found that even in a few minutes I fell in love with it and the sound that comes from it.

Leo Fender designed many legendary guitars and this was the first. It was originally going to be the 'Fender Broadcaster' and was intended to be a basic model that could easily be mass-produced.
