In short though, despite the ridiculous name and some iffy colour choices, the h.ear on MDR-100AAP offer up a superb sound, a comfortable listening experience and they're well worth a look - we can't imagine regretting buying a pair.
Sony introduced a new line of headphones this year that are among its most vibrant and refreshingly stylish headphones in recent years. Awesome Looks 5 star for looks but not that much punchy sound and bass. Sound quality is level up crystal clear but very simple. It's good for vocal lovers but not good for those who want's loud music and punchy bass. Overall sound quality not satisfied me.
I am very happy with these headphones. The build quality is astounding, the sound is great, they are very comfortable to wear, even for a long time, and with glasses. The cable is also very sturdy and doesn't tangle.
I already have Sennheiser HD 650s and AKG K702s, so I wasn't expecting too much for the price, just a closed back headphone that offered some isolation, but I have to say, these blew me away.
I've had Grado sr80e, Soundmagic HP150, Senn HD25iis and AKGk550s... these are all well respected products in the £100-150 range. The Sony MDR100AAPs outperform every one of them. They are the most fun and detailed headphone I've ever used.
Love the quality of the sound, love the c
I love this headphones; they sit comfortably over your ears and the music quality is good too. Nonetheless, the music is not as good when played out of my iPod Classic, as the part which plugs into a device seems to be a little of long. Nevertheless, this only happens sporadically.
I finally decided on these Headphones after seeing the positive reviews and briefly trying them in an audio shop. As I had not tried them in depth, I was slightly nervous but I can honestly say these are the best headphones I've ever used in this price range.
I upgraded from the MDR 1RA and I'm very glad I did! I love the sound stage on these and I think the bass is much better controlled than the MDR 1RA. The design is very nice and simple and I'm 100% happy with my purchase. Thanks again Sony I would recommend these to anybody!
All in all a really decent pair of headphones for the price. They look really cool, they're very comfortable and they don't slip off of my head unlike previous headphones I've had. Sound quality is pretty good, clear and not overly bassy (could be a little more bassy in my opinion).
