The Sony XBR-X950G's smart TV and Google Assistant integration work beautifully but its competitors perform better and cost less.
The Sony XBR-X950G's Android TV system is quick, comprehensive and easy to use, and hands-free Google Assistant works great. Styling is sleek and modern. It has a bright image with accurate color and punchy HDR.
Overall image quality lags behind Samsung, Vizio and TCL TVs at this price and lower, with worse contrast caused by lighter black levels and more blooming.
I've had the X950G for about a month. I don't subscribe to NETFLIX or any other programming that offers 4K programming. I have watched a couple of 4K DVD's and am very satisfied. I've owned 4 Sony TV's in the last 20 years. There's a reason I keep going with Sony, I don't feel you can go wrong.
For me it's almost perfect. The picture quality, the Android operating system and the speed of opening applications all make this TV really nice! The odd thing is that the remote control has two capabilities. It uses IR to turn the TV and sound on and off and Bluetooth to operate it systems.
I picked up a unit of the Sony X950G at nearby Best Buy shop about a month ago and I have not regretted the choice. It is a TV that brings real life images and video into the living room. The sound is nonpareil and the features are top notch and convenient to use. An excellent product.
There were 2 choices for me when buying 75 inch at mid level price range Sony X950g or Samsung Q8 series, i decided to go with X950 and it is pretty good. Pros: Video Quality is amazing, Default sound from TV without soundbar is decent for such a big TV Software is very responsive.
I had a 10 year old Sony XBR TV and now this wonderful and well designed 75 inch TV. pictures are clear and sharp. I see the improvements that Sony has done on this TV and I like it. We are very happy with this TV.
This is connected to a Sony STR-DN1080 receiver. They will shut off on their own every couple of days. Sony's advice is to unplug them for 60 seconds. This doesn't make a difference. Picture quality isn't as good as my old 65 inch Sony. Next purchase will be Samsung QLED or LG OLED.
Where do I start. I purchased this Super TV a little less then two months ago. The color, and contrast, are out of this world. The features are really great and still trying to learn them all. Our fourth Sony over the last 25 years, and they just keep on getting better.
The Sony X950G is really a top of the line TV. I got the 75 inch TV but was afraid it would be too large but it is just fine. The image quality is so good that the large TV is just so naturally beautiful. Its great in bright room as well as in a dark room.
I purchased the TV about a month ago and the picture quality is amazing and the viewing angles are very good. I originally purchased the X850G and was not very happy with the black levels. This model is much better and worth the upgrade.
Color is excellent, picture quality is excellent. Depth is the picture is great. The only negative is the remote control does not light up in the dark. This Tv was bought to replace a Samsung that went bad after a year. I have no regrets!
