Put the TV up yesterday. Clean pic and great features.
I wanted the biggest TV that I could get for the space I have but was very limited in my choices. A 75 inch would've been too big for my shelf and a 65 inch would've been a bit small of a screen for my large living room. This 70 inch is perfect. It has a very nice picture.
I upgraded to this TV from a very nice 65 LG 4K UHD TV.... I thought my exisitng TV was quite good and just wanted a little bit larger TV.... This thing blows me away though... the picture quality, sharpness, colors and features make the 65 inch LG look like an old CRT TV.
We just got the tv and are enjoying it. Picture quality is great and sound is great as well. I was skeptical because some people mentioned the sounds being a problem but so far so good. We mounted the tv and it was easy to do and pretty light. It was easy to setup.
I own a 4K Samsung tv, and watching the same Netflix stream, I can tell that Sony is better than the Samsung in terms of detail and color depth. Sound is loud enough for a small living room. Android tv serves the basic needs of Netflix, Hulu and YouTube.
It's a Sony, it's awesome. Not everything that I wanted, but it's everything I need. And it didn't break the bank. Plus it came with a great sound system. Couldn't be happier. Sony does need to update and redesign thier remotes, outdated and difficult to operate.
I've had a Samsung 8000 series for several years and it was near top of the line when I got it. It recently went out and I had to purchase a new TV. I went back and forth between the Samsung 8 series and the Sony 830/850 models.
Absolutely a great television for the money. Would highly recommend. You should definitely get a soundbar with a sub-woofer if you are going to truly enjoy all the benefits this tv has to offer. Yes the remote is crowded but after a month or two you get used to it.
I can only write a review on the delivery at this time. We are moving into an older farm house in October. We purchased this for streaming. We've had Sonys before and have been very happy with them, so pretty sure we'll be pleased with this one. I tracked this online and knew the window of delivery.
Be very careful with this product . It seems like hackers gained access to my Email account through this TV . I saw that there was another device (Phone) connected to my email. I changed the password . The very next day that same device connected to my email again.
