I am a Certified Professional Photographer who pixel peeps. I have a huge array of Canon gear to compare with when evaluating the Sony gear. I was very happy with the stunning performance of the a7R2 camera and 70-200 Gmaster lens, and equally impressed with the 1.4 teleconverter which maintained...
I'm using the teleconverter with the Sony G Master FE 100-400mm which results in 200-800mm focal length. Camera Body: Sony A7ii So how much light is lost? My camera shows F9 at 200mm and F11 at 800mm. I first tried shooting subjects that were very far away to test the limits of the teleconverter.
After reading the mediocre reviews for the SEL16F28, I ended up trying this lens (SEL20F28). The lens has proved to be very handy, and I am generally happy with the photos. The photos are sharp, but low light scenes may be a little dark with some vignetting. Two jpeg photos are uploaded for review.
excellent quality and usefullness
Lens works great (see my milky way picture from JTNP), but it's much better with the ultra wide angle add-on lens (which I also used to take that picture).
I purchased this item with the expectation that it will work will all FE 70-200 lenses. When the item arrived it will not fit into the zoom lens as the protrusion gets stuck at the back of the lens. I unscrewed the back cover of the FE 70-200 to remove the plastic cover that was blocking it.
Upside: Does what it should with the 16mm and 20mm lenses, good overall quality. Downside: Caps are easy to lose, hard to replace.
I purchased this for the E PZ 18-110mm f/4 G OSS on a FS7.... doesn't work..... it won't allow the lens to focus.
I've tested and compared with other lenses mounted on a6500.I took the same 4K video shot in the same enviroment.Sony-Zeiss 16-70/4Sony Kit lens 16-50Sony 10-18Sony 20/2.8I've watched at all video clips on BenQ BL3201PH CAD CAM Professional Monitor 32", nVidia GTX 980.
I purchased this hoping to extend the range of the Sony 18-110 cine lens on my FS7.... wouldn't focus at all. It might work with other Sony glass?
