We use this wireless lab mic at our school Calvin Chin's Martial Arts Academy for two purposes. First, we use it for amplifying our instructors voice over a pa in our 4,000 square foot school during large classes. Nothing like having to yell to be heard during a a Tai chi class to ruin the mood.

I have only used this product for just a couple of weeks in producing educational videos for U-Tube and Vimeo. Following the Quick Start sheet was straight forward and I was able to sync the transmitter and receiver in a couple of minutes. Setting it up on my video camcorder was easy.

Bought these to pair with my Sony FS5 and it's a match made in heaven. The receiver has diversity antennae and I've no problem finding the transmitter. It also gives you a wide range of frequencies to use, but my favorite feature on this system is the pilot tone option that is a smart way to ensure...

The Sony wireless system is comparable to other similar price points on the market, but does away with the flimsy battery door that some have. I often interview non-film people for videography, and I need my mic to be bullet-proof, which Sony does well with its side-inserted battery holder.

The UWP-D11 is extremely easy to set up and use. Transmitted sound quality is outstanding, no drop-outs, excellent range, and rugged quality. The easy switching from mic input to line input provides great flexibility for use as a wireless transmitter for non-mic applications such as guitars or other...

Build is sturdy, headphone out is clear and offers much headroom. Menu takes a little practice, so spend a little time with it before using it on the job. Only ONE nitpick. For more than $500 you think they could include a manual in booklet form?! Its one of those big roadmap style accordion sheets.

I bought two pairs of this lav set. Unfortunately the mic interacts with an occupancy sensor that is built in pretty much every office space. It overloads the mic that it doesnt properly capture the voice that is intended for recording. I have had multiple emails and calls with Sony technicians.

I had been using a boom microphone before the purchase of the Sony Lavalier. I used the Sony Lavalier on a shoot where the filmed person was walking around equipment and describing the process of installing their solutions on the equipment.

My company has used this kit on a number of shoots and it often works just fine. However, there are several locations where they consistently malfunction severely. I think it has something to do with the internal noise gate/compressor.
