I've had this Sony stereo receiver for a few days now and it has surprised me in a very good way with performance for the price. I'm comparing this receiver to a Yamaha receiver that costs more than three times as much and the Sony sounds as good, if not better than the Yamaha unit, and both sound...
I bought this for my home stereo to replace an old Technics receiver. The Sony has much more power and better specifications and does sound great with the Jamo S807 speakers. My only complaint is that the buttons on the front are hard to see what they are for.
Good power and nice sound!
Black front with black buttons are hard to see.
This is an excellent receiver sound wise with bluetooth. Almost unbeatable for the price. But if you still listen to FM you may have issues. I did not think for one second that they would have a specialized jack for the FM antenna, only to find out I am unable to hook up an external coaxial cable...
This is a superb product. I got it as a replacement for my old receiver and not only does it allow me to continue to connect to FM radio, my turntable, CD player, and tape deck, but the sound coming out of my speakers is terrific.
The price was not the only deciding factor for me. Over my 50 years I have owned many sony products from T.V.s to stereos and they have always lasted way past my expectations. This Receiver will not disappoint you. I have very old cheap speakers and my sound is better than I expected.
great simple receiver, easy to set up and attach devices and speakers. the bluetooth is great and works fine with phone, computer, tablet and other devices. i'm enjoying it
Easy to hook up to my system. Very affordable. Has plenty of volume for a home stereo system. I needed this receiver as it had a phone input. You can switch speaker impedance from 6ohms below and 8 ohm and above.
A very smart amp - it has options, and programming features, I wasn't expecting - like changing Impedance levels to match the speakers I am using. You also have a 3.5 Front Input to play portable devices [using a headphone-like stereo jack - on a double jack-ended cord], & Bluetooth for either...
Replaced my 29 year old Sony receiver when a channel went out. Since I retired and now live in a 3 story condo building, I did not need as much power. This is a simple unit and sounds good for the money. If you are looking for a pro unit with bells and whistles, this is NOT it.
This inexpensive Sony receiver packs a punch. It come with a dedicated Turn Table connection (Wax is making a comeback) and has 4 auxiliary connections. If you're looking to control the EQ, this isn't the receiver for you.
